    Hi All

This has probably been asked a thousand times but ive not yet started my claim against MBNA as ive been too busy concentrating on natwest so apologies.

I note that MBNA now charge £12 late payment fee etc but are people still claiming this back with a view to it still being riduculous for a charge. I am going to claim all the 20+ charges back so just wondering to add these to my list too.

Any help would be great thanks jen x

I have found MBNA to be a joke. After countless delays and letters.. ** can we claim back postal costs if we get to court by the way ?**.. I got the info needed and they have offered about 50%. I have rejected this and given them a final deadline as per the procedure or it's court. Fingers crossed.

I will do! I dug out every single statement from my credit cards (dont know why i keep all these things but i do!! Glad though really saved me time and money applying to them for list of charges) brought them to work with me today and at dinner i intend to go through them with a fine tooth comb - gonna claim every last charge back!! :T

I've had an offer from MBNA for my claim of £930 of £460 ( the difference between the charge and the £12 as per OFT ruling). I'm going to accept as part-paymeny but want to try and get a better offer first. Has anyon ecalled them and said they'll accept as part payment but will be continuing to court unless they increase the offer. I was going to call tomorrow and say I'll accept £850 or will continue to court,

    any ideas????

After 45mins on the phone it went dead, AAAARRRGGGHHHHHHH
Anyway, called back and was told they won't do anything over the phone, it has to be by post, understandable I guess.
Ilso asked them why the £460 they've put into my account isn't registering as a payment. I'm currently overlimit and 1 month in arrears but the ywon't take this money as payment. Apparently as it's not come from me it doesn't count as a payment to the account, anyone else had anything like this?? My account now has £350 available in theory but they won't let me use it as they say the arrears still stand!!!!

Im dreading going through all this with my CC's i am having major hassle with natwest and sent all my first letters off to my CC companies yesterday I Hope i dont have the same thing - its a nightmare.

I dont understand why MBNA wont do that however i only have about £300 on my card with lots of money available to spend and as i missed a couple of payments they suspended my account. i have since made all payments and my account is still suspended they said they need to leave it 3 months before they can do anything! Its crap isnt it!

Totally agree smudge, it's crap. I have another MBNA card with £0 balance which is suspended and has been for 6 months now!! Either let me have it back or close it completely!! Soooo annoyed. glad I'm not the only one though,

MBNA have offered me 510 from 1111 and im not going to accept this but will as a part payment. I will send them a letter saying i accept as partial payment but should i give them another timescale before i start court proceedings so that they can offer a better offer or should i start court proceedings and then write to them to tell them ive started court.
