Hi ss1973,
i'd stick with taking them to court . Youve already got £870 off them whatever happens . If , in the unlikely event that you do lose , its only cost you your court costs and nothing else0 -
2 quickies - one is related to this thread but I thought I'd post them together.
1. I need address for Morgan Stanley credit card. Are they part of RBoS?
2. I need address for Abbey National credit card, is it Abbey National or MNBA?
Many thanks.
Anyone?

Hi LouBlue
According to the last letter I received from Morgan Stanley, you need to address all correspondence to:-
Morgan Stanely
P O Box 3598
Glasgow
G68 9YW
They are not part of RBS.
I've never dealt with Abbey National but someone else will probably come along and help you with that one.Decluttering junk and debt in 2016

Hi Bluesunshine,
Well - got a lovely letter from MBNA this morning with a cheque for £1574.37 which is everything I was claiming and the court fee.
Think it was scare tactics when they filed a defence yesterday - to then send a letter and a cheque the same day seems a bit odd.
Good luck to anyone else with MBNA - and don't give up!

Well i'm having a hell of a time with MBNA, i requested my list of charges back on 26th February. I didn't send paymnt as it is a very old acct and was waiting for them to write to me asking for the paymnet (which two other companies did). The 40 days expiry date came and went on the 9th April and so far i have spoken to 6 different people and no-one will deal with it, opting instead to take my mobile number and assure me that someone will phone me back, something which to date hasn't happened.
I'm so hacked off that no-one has even bothered to respond, let alone send my bank charges.
I wonder if this is because of the fact that i have just successfully reclaimed charges from another MBNA card i have with them that is an active account.
I have today complained to the information comm and am awaiting their reply.Bank charge Victories 07:MBNA:£205.77.Natwest Credit Card:£250.A&L Bank:£549.68.First Direct:£1183.50.Natwest:£112.33+£200 compo.Marbles CC:£298.Providian CC:£181.Capitol One CC:£388.46.PPI requests:A&L credit card/First Direct loan: At Court stage.Marbles CC:£213.02 refunded.GE Money:£562.34 refunded.First Direct credit card:£747.83 refunded.0 -
About 6 weeks ago i sent a letter to Lloyds TSB asking for my charges back. These charges were ones which consisted of those where i had gone over my agreed overdraft and also returned standing orders and direct debits.
I received a letter back about three weeks ago which stated that they had done nothing wrong and that my charges did not fall into the category the OFT are looking into getting the charges decreased for.The letter also states that they were simply following instructions from me to pay out for the standing order/direct debits according to terms and conditions on current account.
To be honest i am unsure if i should pursue it anymore as it is only about £280 i would be looking to regain.Does anyone have any advice? Or maybe had the same kind of letter and actually managed to get somewhere?0 -
Hi Heavy,
I'm helping my bro with his claim from Lloyds TSB. What charges did you claim? I'm claiming Unpaid D/D, O/Draft Excess Fee and Unpaid Cheque.
I think its just their standard "we're not interested" letter but list what you've claimed and I'll try and help.

Most were overdraft excess fees at like £30 each and there were a couple returned standing order fees and direct debits unpaid fees at £35 each.0

Carry on with your claim. If you received that letter 3 weeks ago send the second one giving them 14 days or you'll take them to court. Then stick to that 14 days and do the MCOL, but make sure you stick to your time scales.
Stick with it - LLoyds are sticklers from what I've read but they can't be any worse than HSBC, Alliance and Leicester and MBNA Credit Card who I've successfully managed to get nearly 6k out of them over the last 3 months!
Good Luck, S0
