I sent my letter to MBNA recorded today - this was after sending a letter to Bolton 2 weeks ago and after ringing on Saturday to make sure it was there, being told that the Bolton address was for payments -you think they could have passed it on!!

Anyway it's PO Box 1004, Chester Business Park, Wrexham Rd, Chester, CH4 9WW.

Just a quick question for anyone who can help me, wrote to MBNA about a month and a half ago requesting my credit card statements, the forty days were up yesterday so I phoned to enquire what was happening, was advised by a gentleman to write another letter to a different address stating that I want a summary of the charges applied to my account, he says there was no need to send a £ 10 cheque. The address that I was given was customer advocates office, mbna, po box 1004, chester. Is this right or is he talking rubbish.
  • Sent off my letter for statements to the address the guy has given you. They sent back a summary of charges and the £10 cheque back. So can't see why you would have to send another letter  took about 35 days in total to receive them.

On my credit card I get charged £12 everytime I make a late payment.

    In the t&c it says

"Default Charges - Up to £12 each time your payment is late, each time a cheque or a direct debit is returned unpaid and each time you go over your credit limit"

Can I claim this back even though they state this? bank is mbna

Time is up on MBNA today - so i have to take them to court - no problem with that at all, but the problem is, I don't know the address required for my court forms.

If anyone can link me to this, that would be great!

hi Guys, wonder if you can help - I have read through the thread but cannot see the answer to this question, although I am sure it is in there somewhere

Anyway, we have successfully claimed charges from halifax and Mint, and are awaiting a court date for Barclays, so onto the next one which is MBNA.....

Question is - we have still got a large (ish) balance on the credit card which we are currently overpaying, but have a long way to go before clearing it and no way of making it disappear any quicker.

So, if we do claim charges, are MBNA likely to make life difficult for us and demand repayment, or will they allow us to continue with our account do you think?

I did see something on an earlier post about them offering the difference between the £12 and the actual fee charged and wondered if this would apply to us?

Any help gratefully received before I start and get myself into a problem that I cannot afford to get out of!

    Hi Everyone,

An update in case anyone is interested - asked for £2121. Received a cheque for £870. Replied with a letter stating I would accept as part payment and take them to court for the rest (which I've done).

Today they have filed a defence against my claim! Now I'm getting worried.... anyone else got to this stage with MBNA?

Just wondering if anyone can put my mind at rest. Thanks
