Go, sparky, go. :rotfl:
You will need to put your case much more eloquently than you have done so far on here if you wish to be taken seriously.
Have you really considered how this new concept of charging will work?
I made this point in an earlier post:I
to take your argument on to its logical conclusion, do I think it fair if you (weighing 70kgs) should pay the same as me weighing 54kgs?
Well, I'd say 'NO, that's not fair' of course.
And along comes a tiny 7 stone person to object to paying the same as me for her flight & luggage.
And on and on.......
At what weight are you suggesting airlines set the limit and start charging heavier people?0 -
Would you need an exemption for Pregnant women?
sparky, don't forget, you would weigh a lot more yourself if you had a
fully developed adult brain.0 -

Hi OP,
the following post (way back on the 1st page) answers your question - it is not the total weight that counts, but the weight that has to be liftd and carried by the airport staff. From Metro's letter page some time back in 2009 :
"Why do we have to pay for extra luggage when overweight passengers pays the same price for tickets like us thin folks?"
Reply in the next day's Metro :
"Why do you have to pay for overweight luggage at the airport? Because us airport workers have to load your huge case onto the plane. The fat man walks there himself." by Tonedog

very thanks for all your replies i will just have to take it on the cheek. But if it is the weight that has to carried by airport staff why are they not all the same weights for each airplane company ?0 -

For the same reason that Tesco might sell a can of Heinz beans for 69p but your local corner shop will charge maybe 89p - because they are separate businesses and have different business models and can set whatever rules on charging they like.
Learn to read the regulations of the airline you are flying with and follow them.
Invest in a pair of luggage scales.
It will be much less painful (and less expensive) for you next time.
