  • You might be joking but think on,don't give the travel companies silly ideas as they might start priceing our holidays on how much we weigh, nothing would surprise me
  • Sparky,

Go and see a solicitor and take a big fat case against the airline.

I was just over one kg:o I thought i would get away with it and the airline staff said i had to pay the extra as the more the case weighs the more fuel it would use:eek: "unless you want to wear it ! " Baffled:D Good luck with your letter and your one man battle;)

Maybe this thread is why pilots refer to passengers as self loading freight. Lol

Youse are not being very helpfull just trying to mock me about my spelling mistakes .Last year i booked a holiday in a shop and was allowed 20kilos this year i booked in the same shop and they never gave me any warning that the was a different flight change and adifferent baggage allownace.I didnt even weigh my bags but was sure its not heavyier and it wasunt more than 20kilos . I have a valid point i think and i cannot still see in theroy why fat people do not get charged more than slim peolpe or we shuld get allowed to take more luggage (but not too much where it hurts the baggage workers)In theroy a fat woman with false legs in a wheelchair and a young child in a pram wood get the same amount as me with a small case weighing 15kilos. Iam not bieng symperthetic with this lady but i feel i have been robbed and discriminated by my size. Next time i will take my farthers oxegen machine that weighs 3kilos into my case that weighs 22kilos and see what the desk says(will they take it out and weigh it NO)

Would suggest you should read the paperwork next time as you allowance is normally printed on your tickets.

And it's normal for every airline to charge for excess baggage. Read the small print next time and then stop taking the idiot juice

  • This thread is hilarious :rotfl:

So it's thin people v poor fat people, people in wheelchairs with no legs and children in prams :grouphug:

Do you know what.... my dog is called Sparky  and if I knew for certain that he HADN'T recently returned from his holidays in Turkey I might think that he's written this thread. He's very thin and poor at spelling and grammer you see

My letter actually, and as you say complete tosh.
But i notice that none of you spelling geniuses has said why it is tosh yet.

It is totally correct in its assumptions regarding payload and fuel so why would it not work, anyone.
    Thought not

Maybe Paddy2eyes is correct and this is what you should do,
(But if you take a big fat case they charge you for excess baggage don't they, hang on this is where we came in!)

WELL THANKS FOR SOME REplys and not thanks to others that are rude.I have a point i do so know it. and here is my point they charge you becase you have a heavy bag of a 2 bags of shugar but do not take in that someone can be twice as heavy as another person. If we all pay the same for are plane journey we could all have a stopper of 100kilo including our bodiys if we weigh 60kilo we should be allowed 2 bags no more than 20kilo if you weigh more than 100kilo tou need pay more and for any bags too. Please help becase i will write a letter to the airports or planes company to do this i say wheelchairs are ok and should not pay as people need them and have no legs.Does any people know what country allow 20kilo bag to there country?

I'd love to see your letter of complaint ! Is English your first language ?

Virgin allows 23 kg bags on most flights, it's the airline that sets the baggage allowance, not the country. Have you travelled much before ?
Doesn't sound like it, people usually know about baggage allowances.
