lol OP why didn't you read the small print?
think yourself lucky, we came back from turkey yesterday, me with gastro enteritus (?), so not only a day off work without pay but also a £100 (yes english pounds please) for the 2 jabs from the lovely doctor at the hotel to get me home (and he wanted me to go to hospital) yes I do feel a lot better tonight thanks, but still going to take it easy tomorrow after delivering "sample" at horspital.
Easy way to not get foiled again btw is to get a little weighing thingy only a couple of quid - well worth it.

Im sure the shop ran through the booking form with you and you signed it, they would have mentioned then what weight you were purchasing, you probably werent listening as they would have prefered to have sold you 20kg as it costs more.

If you think about it thin people get to take more luggage for their 15kg as their clothes weigh less than a fat person!

not necessarly... if the child is under 2 they might not even get a luggage allowance and the parents have to pack nappies and babies things in their case as well as their own things and still stay under the baggage allowance.

WELL THANKS FOR SOME REplys and not thanks to others that are rude.I have a point i do so know it. and here is my point they charge you becase you have a heavy bag of a 2 bags of shugar but do not take in that someone can be twice as heavy as another person. If we all pay the same for are plane journey we could all have a stopper of 100kilo including our bodiys if we weigh 60kilo we should be allowed 2 bags no more than 20kilo if you weigh more than 100kilo tou need pay more and for any bags too.Please help becase i will write a letter to the airports or planes company to do this i say wheelchairs are ok and should not pay as people need them and have no legs.Does any people know what country allow 20kilo bag to there country?

Yes poor grammar is unforgivable, I have no excuses. I worked for thirty years next to an office full of people with exemplary skills in grammar and spelling, you would think some of it would have rubbed off.
Mind you I did not see that much of them, they would just come into my office, take my dictation then go away and type it up.;)

If you're so convinced that you have a point, write to every airline and ask (or if your attitude in your first post is anything to go by)

Dear Airline
Please consider my complaint.
I am a frequent traveller with your service and have noticed what I consider to be an unfair practice regarding the luggage weight restrictions applied by yourselves.
I fully understand that the weight of the payload will have a direct effect on the cost of the fuel and must be reflected in the cost borne by the traveller.
However it seems unfair that a person who has a greater body weight suffers no such restriction, he after all does represent a tangible part of that payload.
It does not seem fair to me that a person of say 60 kilos is only entitled to the same restrictions as a person of say 200 kilos.
Surely it is the total weight that affects the running costs of the aeroplane.
I have heard it said that the additional charge is because the handling of larger bags is more labour intensive, but is any more intensive that the extra attention required by an obese person when boarding.

Some crazy spelling but the OP does have a point.

He is wrong as we all know, and he/she must do by now as well, after all he accepted the conditions of travel.

But I think there is a case for airlines to charge by total weight per person

OP most scheduled transatlatic carriers have a 1 x 23kg allowance, some have more, not set by the country you are travellng to of course, but a holiday option if you want to travel further afield and take more luggage at no extra cost
