I believe we did, and if you look at my first post on this thread you will see that I have moderated my initial response because of some of the points made in that thread, its a shame that, for whatever reason, it was removed.
I have also commented on this thread my views on the keyboard warriors who almost certainly never fired a gun in their life.
I think the problem stems from some cat owners refusal to even begin to accept that other people, for whatever reason, have the right to have a cat free garden.
If cat owners will not take responsibility for their pets then others, who are 'suffering' the hassle will have to do something, I would be the first to condemn anyone who causes unnecessary suffering to any animal, but I can understand where most of the posters are coming from.
I just wish cats owners understood the damage their pets are doing to our native habitats and were willing to act responsibly.0 -
Another vote for the sonic repeller here. I used to find loads of piles all over the lawn. I got a sonic repeller and it is now down to a very occasional pile, best money I have ever spent because it means my grandson can play y on the lawn. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Speaking purely from my own experience, 6 houses only in a secluded area. Many years of no problems apart from bird poo as they fly over. New neighbours arrive with their three cats in tow, none of the remaining five properties own cats.
We kept our Mercedes and MX5 sports cars under our three car lean to/car port. I asked the cat owner to come round and see the damage cats did to paintwork and, soft top roofs on each car, you could clearly see on soft tops roofs hair from the animals. Damage to paint was claw marks when jumping up on cars. Owner suggested I purchase car covers at my expense.
Then there is all the other stuff as already posted, believe me, I am not in the business of harming anyone, let alone cats.
It is very frustrating to see your efforts destroyed, frustrating to see your pride and joy to drive damaged for no reason.
It is very frustrating to try to have the owners take responsibility for their pets, to no avail.
Which in turn, leaves me to my own devices.

Sorry for vulgar post but the cat from 2 doors down keeps pooing all over my lawn...every morning there is a new one. I have a small child and I find this disgusting. I pick it up but every day there is a new one and remnants get left. I have tried spray repellant, toy snakes (my mum suggested cats are scared of them!) i don't know what else to try. It must do it before we are up as I never catch it in action so I can't hosepipe it. any suggestions that work please?
no really read through the posts but can only tell you what has worked here.
I have cats, and although people say you can't control the cats etc... i still feel bad about my cat pooping next door... we tried the gel but didn't work.
Because the neighbour is really nice and i felt bad, i bought a cat repeller from amazon, it was £20 odd, and it blinkin well works, i had my doubts really did, but first night they had it in, my cat did poop, and that was about 2 weeks ago... they do say it can take a few days for the cat to stop... they tend to want to face off what is offending them.. battle of wills...

also got some lion poop pellets for added measure.
perhaps asking your neighbour with the cat if they would contribute to buying this?
I was happy to buy this for my neighbour as i said they are really nice and worked really hard in their garden and they have grandchildren and i would be horrified if they kids got covered in cat poop
.
btw, tmi but my cat has found a place in my own garden to poop, which i can deal with0 -

Sorry if you don't like the truth. You give them the opportunity then whine about it when they take advantage of the opportunity. I can't see any reason for you to be quite so offensive though. Actually I can - the ad hominems nearly always start when the argument is going against you.
Cheers
There is no arguement, debate within civil posts and, I am certainly not offensive.
