    hey everyone, hope all had a good Bank holiday. I thought I would give an experience as to why I think Talk Talk customer services are really rubbish.

    I am a talk talk customer and i received a cold call from a Talk Talk representative this afternoon asking me if i wanted free day time calls by switching to the current talk talk essentials.

    How nice I am sure you are thinking!!!!!

    WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRONG

    I told the lady on the phone I had changed my package myself on their own customer service department, after having difficultites changing on the taslk talk forum. I told the lady my free calls commenced from 6th May (my billing day).

    She looked at my account and said sorry, why cant customer service with talk talk be better than this, they clearly dont even know what packages there own customers are on. I like the price and package with talk talk, but when things go wrong forget it!!!
    Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!

    I asked for a change from my longstanding (pre 2007) onetel/talktalk ( bills carry both names) uk leisure( eve/weekends) to their uk talk ( 24 hours to landlines) but specified I wanted to keep my free international extra, otherwise no.They also agreed to add free local calls and free 0845 and 0870 from june 2009.They sent me a letter and welcome pack stating uk talk and free international were included.
    BUT
    I have now been billed for
    local and national uk calls
    AND internationals to france after the date the" new service" was started.

    I rang the number on my talkalk bill and got a chap from onetel who said it was because I had gone to from onetel to talktalk!
    I had never had any problem with onetel in many years!
    HELP!they are in breach of contract!

    TalkTalk are an absolute NIGHTMARE - stay clear!!!

    I had a salesman phone and offer me a Talk UK Anytime package (phone) for £15.74 per month. I thought, this is cheap, I'll have some of this. It stayed pending at their end for ages. I phoned them again and asked to be set up on this (don't know why I bothered). Apparently, my line was supposed to go live on 30 April, but went live on 6th/11th/today (pick a date, they seem to). I've never received a welcome pack, direct debit instruction or anything from them. I try to call their Indian call-centre and they don't understand me (call goes like this: Them - have you got broadband with us? Me- No. Them - is your phone line working? Me - We'll I'm talking to you on it! Them - is your broadband working? Me - I haven't got your broadband, did you not get the conversation.......and on, and on......
    Anyway - if you hate call centres where you get transferred from one part to another continually, then DON'T GO TO TALKTALK!!!!

    This company has got to be one of the biggest cowboy outfits going - it has taken them over 3 months to perform the simple task of setting up a direct debit so they can actually be paid, the South Africans in the call centre appear to have a limited grasp of English as they are unable to comprehend when you wish to speak to a manager (and in fact flatly refuse to put you throught to one!!)
    STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE NOTHING BUT HASSLE!

    it lookas as if talk talk is using the so called customer service tiscali had...
    i think ill buy a phone card to use from home so at least they dont get any more money frome me fraudulently
  • hi is there a number to speak to some one high up in billing as i've had enough of india and wherever else it goes ! its a simple problem i signed up for have 2009 on us on a 18 month contract ....
    the first 12 months you just pay line rental at (was £10.50 ) the after the 12 months you pay the £6.49 as well as the line rental but no one seems to have heard of it any one else had problems ?

    I dont have a number I can pass on but if you could spare a moment to register at www.talktalkmembers.com/forums I'll take a look at any billing issues for you. I'll be able to check the sales channel used to sign up against the channels eligable for that offer (I remember it well).

    If anyone else in this thread needs help or advise feel free to PM me or to visit the members forums if you still have an active account. Most of my day is spent there.

    My contract up this month :j.This month has been the worse for broadband.Between 18.00-20.30 I have been disconnect up to 10 Times per hour,not very good when playing poker:mad:Hate it when I phone techs (lol)& go through the procedure of checking everything my end when we know it's talktalk traffic problems. Filled the survey in on friday,funny enough wasn't cut of that night nor Sat but sunday 18.15 ....
    Most likely go back to B.T.

    This is another example of being patrinising and controling.

    Can someone please provide me with contact details in making a complaint against the talktalk representative. I would prefer contact details higher up within talktalk, these people seem everywhere
