Must not read diary when I should be preparing dinner...
I am now an hour behind!
  • The Bloaters all went on a 20 minute walk to a park - but packed bottled water and Haribo already from in the store cupboard. Got home without buying anything which was a double bonus and have been comprehensively routed on the Wii Fit Running by my 5 year old daughter. Three times. But it was as I was pleading for mercy and begging not to have to run a 4th race that a lightbulb came on in my head - I have had a no-spend-day. I have not set foot in a shop nor purchased anything online. Neither has Mrs B or the kids. This has gotta be one of our first NSDs. When I get around to working out how to do the signatures on posts I shall proudly put it in there. Hope I haven't hexed the NSD by calling it too early but it's all looking good so far.

  • Well done Mr B. I am doing the Matrix NSD challenge - aiming for 10 this month as a newbie - 2 so far
  • Evening MrB :)

I've read through your whole diary, what an inspiration you are. I am always complaining that I need to lose weight, and get more exercise in, but rarely would you find me (in fact if ever) getting up at the crack of dawn to do something about it!

I wish you well in your quest for weight loss & debt loss! Can i second (third, fourth however many already suggested..) that you start a spend diary. When i started on my journey I found out where my missing hundreds were going each month, and knowing i had to write down every spend made me think twice about impulse purchases! I also take out cash every month and leave my cards at home. I have an envelope for grocery, petrol, pocket money (DH favourite one) and entertainment. When it's gone it's gone and i know we can't have any more....haven't had a bank charge in over 6 months now thanks to this system :j

My diary is also my dirty little secret and the longer it goes on the more I daren't tell hubby about it (mainly because i like to complain about his spendy ways :D)

I am subscribing and look forward to following your journey :T

I just wish it was a NSD in the Hex household, but I foolishly let Mr H and the boys trot round Maplin, which seems to be our Boden equiv :p.

I will PM you the mummydongalls details if you like? It is mostly in the technique so not a copyright issue.

Finally someone has found a reason to learn maths... To work out height from BMI and weight info!
