I had the same thing - the credit showed days before it was taken from my bank account.0 -

Bless 'em, they do try, but you'd think that statistically they'd get it right every now and then. Took them a few months before they managed to take any DD from me. They even did the now standard DD adjustment complete with the note that "you need to do nothing..." I didn't, but neither did they until I phoned them and told them they weren't actually taking anything.

That *may* not be unusual. It is quite common for organisations billing systems to show a credit when the billing system has requested the DD, which can be a few days in advance of the actual collection.0 -
Wonder what Monday will reveal?
I'll be looking for "round" meter dials.
Or no Direct Debit review in the first 6 months (as NPower:eek: claim not to do)
Or cooking-mama has lost her "balance"?:rotfl:0 -
Hmmm. Planned maintenance, as opposed to unplanned screw ups? Can't wait to see what this will do. At least I got my monthly figures in this morning and a new calculated balance. Learned a long time ago to take screen dumps of whatever I do on EDF's site.

Here's a positive about EDF... I signed up with them last November 2010 and the OS7 tariff I'm on is still the cheapest on uSwitch so no need to think about changing just yet.0

This is still a bit confusing...
All the comparison sites point to the prices staying the same for OS7...
But the person I spoke to on the phone last week said all variable tarrifs will be affected by the price increase....
Mind you she did say that if I wanted to leave I would have to pay the early termintion "fine" as well..
But we all know different there dont we0 -
The FAQ on the website is now rubbish and not at all clear.. what does this mean..
Customers on the following products will not see their prices change on 10 November 2011:
• Annual Fix version 2
• Fixed Price 2013, Fixed Price 2014 (withdrawn on 14 Sept 2011) Fixed Price 2015
• Fixed S@ver version 1 and Fixed S@ver version 2
• Fix for 2012
• Online S@ver version 9, Online S@ver version 10
and Online S@ver version 12
• Energy S@ver version 2
Customers on the above products are unaffected by this price change will therfore receive a letter confirming they made a great choice on their Fixed or Online tariff.
The exceptions to this are Annual Fix version 1 & Online S@ver version 7 customers, whose tariffs are coming to an end on 31st December 2011, and Online S@ver version 8 customers (whose prices are also changing with effect from 10 November but are not aligning with our standard rates). Online S@ver version 8 customers will receive their price change letter containing more information by mid-October 2011.0 -

This bit here seems wrong..
Don't suppliers need to give 30 days notice to the customer of a price increase??
Well mid-October would send this past the 10th November for the price increase surely...
Making rules up to suit themselves again :mad:0 -

Did you manage to resolve your problems with EDF?
Changed to EDF in August, and since then they have taken only one DD payment. Rang them up, and they said it would be taken next month. So it would appear that instead of monthly direct debit, its now quarterly.0
