Any positive experiences switching to EDF energy??

Well this is where you and I differ.
When I log on I am presented with 2 account numbers (gas and electric). If I click on one it brings up the contract tracker for that account only, it appears to be totally seperate than the other account, the credit is just the DD they took for that account (I have seperate DD amounts for each supply), and any messages are for that account only.

As I said before I am wondering if they have set me up not as a dual fuel but as single fuel accounts, thereby perhaps losing the dual discount, although this appears to be only £8 a year.

I am reluctant to contact them as the switch has gone smoothly, I now have both refund cheques from Scottish Power, I do not want my "my account" to be c*cked up, but eventually I will have to speak to them.

Anyone else have 2 account numbers for a dual fuel account?

Standard payment amount £114

Agreed at the start £44 electricity,£70 gas, but EDF have combined the DD to £114,
Dunno if any of that helps any.

I have exactly the same as you: two separate account numbers.
I have just had two bills generated (as a result of entering meter readings), there is a dual-fuel discount applied, but it only appears in the gas bill. Looks about right, it's £1.23 for around 8 weeks.
There is a DD discount on both bills.

Phew, thanks for that alanwsg, it all looks OK then.

As a matter of interest, when did you apply to switch, I applied on 2 Aug, and have you got account numbers begining 67.

It helps in that we are totally different despite applying virtually on the same date.
When I log in I do not have "account details " showing, the page is titled "additional contracts"and has just the 2 account numbers showing which I have to click on to enter, then I have I presume what you are talking about, but just for the account I have clicked on.

I applied on the 10th June.
Both my account numbers start with 67.

I seem to now have a different problem relating to DD. Electricity has been set up and the £28 per month has been taken twice.

Although' my account' shows a dual fuel contract, the £39 for gas isn't being taken even though the paper Contract details clearly show it.:(

Well....things are getting stranger,online MY ACCOUNT states i am £158 in credit,but my bank say they have only paid EDF energy £44.from my bank account!!!..anyone on here missing £114.:rotfl:

awesome - DD has been setup and then EDF own system cancelled it 3 times , and no phone call as promised - *sigh*
