Aren't they entitled to voice their opinion based on their experience?

If staff promise call backs which don't materialise that is 'rubbish'.

Except the poster qualified "rubbish" as follows - "Staff are rubbish who I have spoken to"

You can't speak with an adviser who failed to materialise.:rotfl:

    SOH failure backfoot?:(

No sense of humour problem here.

It's you who are missing the point of their post. You hold a different opinion, which we have heard many times. Someone holds a different view, it's as simple as that.

I 'switched' to EDF in March - despite meter readings, phone calls, emails they have not taken any Direct Debits! I have chased them - no-one knows whats happening, they promise to call back and don't. I now owe several months of payments through no fault of my own. DD info all correct - its just EDF not knowing what they are doing. Staff are rubbish who I have spoken to. Wish I had not switched.......

I am currently looking to go back to British Gas.

Would not and could not recommend EDF.

If you are going to have a problem that is the one to have :) My transfer going fine at the moment, I asked them to change my proposed DD payments and it was actioned very quickly.

Must say EDF staff are very polite but can't do anything, as they all then have to e-mail a colleague to action something....

What do you mean? when I changed my DD they actioned it there and then and when I signed on to Myaccount the figures had been amended.

ive just checked "My Account", there are now boxes for me to enter gas readings, but im sure the sales person on the phone said my gas would transfer on 8th Sept,(and i should'nt enter any details until i get "official notice"),so im planning on waiting until the 7th before putting my gas reading in.
Once again(touch wood),everything seems to be progressing as planned

If you enter readings before switching date they seem to vanish "into the ether" (or at least mine did:rotfl:)

Perhaps you had best enter your readings on the 8th not the 7th.

Having just seen an online bill for my readings entered on Sept 1, I was surprised to see that my DD had been reviewed again and increased. That happened with my August 1 bill and it only increased by £7, so I ignored it. This increase was another £15 on top of that so I phoned them. On hold for 24 minutes but then got a helpful person who said he would put the DD back to its original value and explained what had caused it....
If you enter readings 28 days or less apart, their system will do a "forced" billing and DD review, which can throw it into confusion(!)
Although I had only entered readings on the first of each month, my meters had been read on August 8 and these readings appeared on the online system. Strangely enough, I didn't get a bill or DD review after the August 8 readings, just my latest ones triggered it.
Anyway, it seems that 28 days is the magic number and you shouldn't enter readings within 28 days of some already having gone in.

I did also ask if they now have an automated email responder, which he confirmed. I asked because I emailed the a question about my billing yesterday and got an almost immediate response telling me about final bills due to moving house and nothing to do with the question. He did say my email would also go through to customer services, who should eventually respond to it, but they have a backlog.

Huh. My most recent MyAccount "readings" were in the case of electricity, an unsolicited "estimate without an estimate marker" and in case of gas, a re-dated but unchanged earlier reading.:(

This "forced billing" sounds like the intent to replace an estimated bill with an actual bill but poorly specified and inadequately tested.

Tempted to have some fun with the "functionality", but no. Going to sit tight as long as possible. My previous complaint was not that I had been "reviewed" but the "review" made no calculated sense. Not convinced that issue is yet addressed.
