In response to a previous post, can't believe you will get a refund from KKO.
They refused me and I did try reasonably hard. I eventually got a partial refund from Three, and then got them to Cap my bill so it can't happen again (also means I now can't dial 0845s or 101 etc. which isn't ideal).0 -
Hi folks.
I was subscribed to this service tonight. I clicked on NOTHING from these animals yet they subscribed me to their £18 a month 'service'. i thought at first they were trying to fool me into texting STOP and get charged a fortune and was about to delete it but looked into the company first.
Glad I found this forum. I replied to the number (64546, dont just hit reply, it wont work).
So texted STOP, got a confirmation text saying it had been cancelled. Will call the scumbags on Monday to make sure it has indeed been cancelled. Ill be sure to give them a piece of my mind while Im at it. As someone said I cancelled it within the 7 days terms on their website so they better not charge me for it.
I find myself in France from time to time and have their address.
Theres NO WAY Id be dumb enough to click on something like this and confirm a subscription to this service, whatever it is they're trying to sell. These guys are absolute frauds and we all know it.
Rob someone of £18 in the street you go to jail. these guys are robbing god knows how many people for years and have gotten away with it scot free with the help of the mobile networks. Unbelievable!
Ill also be calling Vodafone to see if theres any way of stopping this happening again.
But wow, I really cant believe these parasites have gotten away with this for so long. Theres messages dating back years on this and yet nothing happens and they continue unabated. I really hope these guys endure a long and agonising slow death as soon as possible. They are scum of the earth and should at least be stopped from conning more people...
Wheres Batman when you need him?

Like other people on this forum, I have just discovered that a significant amount of money has been stolen via my phone account. Since 29 December 2013, I have found that I have been receiving texts listed as payforit charges of £4.50 plus VAT. The scam appears to be that they sign you up to a service, even though you don't know you are being signed up to the service and then extract money via your mobile account every week without ever informing you. I have never signed up knowingly to any service. I don't download ringtones and the only apps that I have downloaded have been via the apple app store. These carry a single charge.
I contacted KKO mobile and requested evidence that we have used their service but they just sent me a pdf doc with a pic of their sign up page, and ended my appeal.
I have written back to them stating the following: -
"What you have sent does not constitute evidence of the usage of your service. Please provide concrete evidence that this service has been used. My family members testify that no one has seen the screens that you sent in the pdf or registered for your service. The texts sent were identified as spam and deleted without reading. We had no reason to read them. Huge amounts of spam are sent via the internet. No one has the time to read it all and it is unreasonable for you to expect otherwise.
I reiterate that unless you can send me proof of the usage of your services (ie the download of any of your products) I expect a full refund.
I will be send letters to all major newspapers about your scam and writing to my MP. I have already reported this to the official ombudsman".
T-Mobile have not offered to repay the monies taken from my account, but have put a block on kko services on the account. I may have another go and demand the reimbursement of the costs from them as they authorised these payments and took them from my account on behalf of a third party.
I will post what happens.0 -
What a surprise-my son is also affected by this. He has a pay monthly with Vodafone, I just looked at his bill and he has two lots of £1.25 listed-Text info service. Don't know what that is? Does anyone else have this charge? Looks slightly different to previous posts-perhaps they have evolved their ways. Intend to take it up with Vodafone pdq.“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0

PhonepayPlus have just published this Statement on the regulation of Payforit
29 May 2013
Executive summary:
In other words, PayForIt providers must provide independently verifiable evidence that their "customers" genuinely consented to pay for their "services" unless their "customers" "consented" by clicking on a website. In the latter case, PhonepayPlus is forced to rely on the honesty and self-regulation of the PayForIt providers.
Which is another way of saying that PayForIt is the new dialler or reverse charge SMS "subscription" scandal in the making. Another situation where the victim of theft and fraud will be called upon to prove his or her innocence.0 -

Hi veruccasalt,
Thanks for making me aware of this.
If your son would like me to get this looked into could you ask him to email me with his details via the link in our profile here?
All he'll need to do is copy and paste the link into his web browser and it'll take him to the Contact us form on our website. To ensure that it reaches me he'll also need quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line.
Once sent he'll receive automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to him as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

Hope those scammed, and I believe 100% it is a scam, keep checking in here to see updates on the matter from fellow victims, KKO Mobile themselves, and operators such as Vodafone, above.
In the US, a class action suit forced Cellfish Media, the parent company, into paying our afflicted American mobile brethren back. So, together we are stronger.
(For what it's worth KKO promised my sister a full refund as a 'goodwill gesture'. Thus far it's failed to materialise. Inès, from "customer care," seems far too busy removing my comments from news sites, whilst adding her own to my blog.)0 -
I just checked my mobile phone bills for last three months as it seemed very high and I have the £4.50 payments going out every week from kk0mbb through this payforit access that I have never even heard of. Vodaphone admitted it looked strange as all payments happen a few minutes after midnight.
They have asked me to call 0845 8341119 but that is a complete waste of time... I can never get through.
Vodaphone have cancelled the payforit on my phone.
My yahoo account was hacked on the 1st March and I note the first payment went out on the 5th March. Anyone think it could be linked? :mad:0 -
