    Ok, I live in London, but all my Barclays letters come from my branch where i first opened an account, which was in Bracknell, or else they come from Leceister(not sure why).

    So do i have to send my 1st letter to Bracknell, or can i just send it a branch in London, like this one;

    BARCLAYS BANK PLC
    1 CHURCHILL PLACE
    LONDON
    E14 5HP

    E14 London happens to be where i live too :T

    But seriously, there is a little confusion as to what actually constitutes a local branch.

    Im Just about to submit my first letter to Barclays to claim back £660,my question is do I send it to my local branch or is there another address that I should send it to also should we send the letters recorded delivery ?
    Thanks in advance for any help ive never done anything like this before and it has taken me 3 weeks to pluck up the courage to do so.I really hope this works out for us as we could do with a change in our luck.

    Yes i know what you're thinking. Bracknell is nowhere near London, or where i live, but as it is my branch i get my letters from there. Which is why i thought it might be better to send my first letter to their address. However, people say 'local branch', which would imply the nearest branch to my house. But i am still confused as to which is best.

    Basically if you send it to your local branch it will be forwarded to the head office address above. So it will be easier if you just send it direct to the E14 5HP address above by recorded delivery.

  • The address for Data Protection Act or the registered address of the bank?
    I think the first address is for asking for statements, and the second is for court claim.

    Which to use for reclaim letter?

    Thanks,

    Suggest you write to your Account Manager (doesn't need a name), at the branch that your account(s) is held at.

    Check out the address on your cheque book, and send there.

    Infact, looking at the previous posts on this thread, stick to the same address for all correspondance and use registered post (or at least recorded delivery). I will be!
