iPhone or Galaxy 2?

I have tried both of these and based on my experience, I'd go with Android phone i.e HTC.
iPhone has plenty of limitations which I dont like to be honest but then some people prefer it's interface.
Other thing you have to consider is the price. iPhone seems to hold it's price compared to HTC imho.0 -
I'd also say go into some stores and try them out, find an apple store and muck about to your heart's content. Carphone warehouse have always been quite happy to go get a phone out of the back-room and let me try it out before I go buy it someplace else on the web with a cashback.
I also like to use !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to figure out who's got the cheapest deals on a given phone. Other comparison sites are available etc. etc. Don't forget to go via topcashback or quidco when you eventually buy.
Edit. I don't seem to be able to recommend the mobile checker website I like to use. Never mind.Reading this signature is a waste of time0 -
If you decide on HTC sensation have a look at buymobilephones.net as they do it on o2, with 100 minutes, 500 text and 500mb for £21.50 and free phone. O2 do same deal but charge you £149.99 for the phone. both on 24 month deal. £30 quidco if you go through them.0

The Giffgaff network runs on O2, so may be worth a try. £10-a-month for 250 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet with no contract. £4.04 Topcashback. It's probably best not to tie into another long-term contract until you are sure you're happy with network coverage, so buying a handset and being free to move networks easily is probably the best way to go.
I'll second that; use the http://petef.22web.net/payg.html website to compare network PAYG deals. Giffgaff have free 080 calls so can use an override number (maybe 18185 or similar) as well, for extra savings in case you go over their (generous) allowance. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
It depends entirely on what you want and prefer.
If it really is just going to be a phone, but happens to be able to do a bit more (likely considering you're moving from Nokia: presumably Symbian?) then it'll make no odds to you, just whichever you like the look & feel of.
If you want the most versatile, go for the Android; Google place little limitation on what can get into their 'Market' (App Store) so there's a lot of variation in what you can download.
If you like something designed to work seamlessly with other (mostly only Apple though) products and not need much fiddling, look at iPhones; although Apple limit what they'll let into their App Store, what it means is that you know it'll work properly on the phone, and there's still massive variety.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

Hi Guys
I have an iPhone 3GS and can now upgrade, having signed up to a 24 month £44pm deal 21 months ago.
I've managed to go over the £44pm (by quite a lot sometimes) pretty much every month due to a schoolboy error with my texts (contracted 500 texts rather than unlimited!)
Anyway, I'm now looking to possibly change phones as the iPhone contracts are quite expensive, specially for the iPhone4 and I want something around the £30-35 mark.
I have been looking at the Samsung Galaxy SII and reading up on some reviews/comparisons, which seem to hold the Galaxy in high regard.
Does anyone have any experiences with the Galaxy (good or bad?).
I initially wanted to stick with the iPhone (either 3 or 4) as I have all my e-mails (personal and work) on there, with all the useful apps etc and the apparent lack of hassle of transferring from one iPhone to the other.
This may be a silly question but can the apps/e-mail account details be easily transferred from an iPhone to a Galaxy?
I'll be going into the Orange shop later in the week but would like to get opinions on here first if possible, at least I'll be prepared when I go to the shop!
Thanks guys!0 -
iPhone or Galaxy 2?
Re transferring the contacts, I think both can be easily synhronised with a PC. Any android certainly can.0 -
You can sync email accounts easily using Microsoft outlook. There are tons of guides on the web to help you out0

If you are going from Iphone, blackberry etc to an android phone just sync your contacts with google then when you log in to your android phone all of your contacts will sync back to your new phone and you'll be all ready to go.
You can use google sync app for this :T
