If only samsung were the richest company in the world
and the 'antennagate' was never an issue to me nor the countless iphone 4s which i sold. Applei s well known for its customer care and the iphone is the biggest selling handset worldwide. Fact
“Antennagate” as you put it is a well documented problem, whether you've experienced it or not is besides the point. And I'd prefer a working replacement rather than a free bumber on the customer care front. Also the iphone isn't the biggest selling handset worldwide.mrochester wrote: »The point I was making about the hardware was that in some respects the iPhone hardware is better than the SGS2, and in other respects the SGS2 hardware is better. You may or may not disgaree with this point, but the point was that whether the hardware was better or not is an opinion.
I believe hardware wise the one thing better is the resolution of the iphones screen, which as mentioned before is proven to be a waste on a screen that small as the human eye can't detect it. I wish you could see that stating things like the processor in the SGS2 is better is not opinion, it is fact. That's not a hole in my argument, that's my opinion. Again, your opinion may differ. You would be wise to learn to respect other people's opinions.Yes, to my knowledge. Although they typically just replace the device so they may just have a centralised location for engineers.I haven't got an antenna issue to fix, or a broken screen to fix, or any water damage to fix. If the problem with the device is covered by warranty, it's typically replaced on the spot. There certainly isn't a Samsung shop where I can receive the same level of service.I now respectfully request you to stop 'trolling' my posts else I will start reporting your behaviour. You are just going to have to accept that my opinion differs to yours and that there isn't any amount of 'proof' you can supply to 'prove' that my opinion is wrong. Thank you.Malaga0034 wrote: »Has any of the iPhone haters got a list of things the Samsung II can do what the iPhone can't
What MissKeith saidNot that I'm a hater of course just a realist.

There's also the build quality, materials and battery life that are better on the iPhone. And as I've said before your opinion is wrong. Your opinion is also contradictory and hypocritical. No matter how many times you want to believe a single core 1ghz processor is as good as a dual core 1.2ghz processor, it just isn't.
My opinion is not wrong. Once again, you're comparing the 2 devices only on the hardware front without any consideration for the software. The 1.2ghz dual core processor in the SGS2 only just allows it to compete with the iPhone on speed and fluidity. It doesnt matter how much faster it is in theory if it's then hampered by the software that runs on it that can't take full advantage of the power of the hardware on offer. There are plenty on times, well documented, that apple hasn't done the above. Exploding batteries initially blamed on customers until apple finally faced facts come to mind, as does the antenna design fault that they tried initially to pass off as a design feature. Apple have a history of burying their heads in the sand like this.
I've had no issue having devices seen to in an Apple shop. It's still better to have that avenue available to you instead of only being given the option of sending your device away for days/weeks.That doesn't mean they don’t occur. No samsung doesn't have shops but the places that sell samsung products do.
Of course problems occur. No device can ever be problem free. But it's the frequency of occurrence and what is done to rectify it that matters. Luckily, Apple have some of the most reliable products.Ok bud you report me for disagreeing with your make believe arguments. I've said before and I'll say again your welcome to your opinion truly welcome to it; its just overly biased and ultimately wrong. If you don't like people disagreeing with your opinions stop posting them on an open forum.
I think you'll find the boot is very much on the other foot. I'm not the one who is repeatedly trying to convince you that your opinion is wrong. You're issue is your refusal and/or inability to respect that people may have a different opinion from you. You're perfectly entitled to disagree with my opinion, but you are absolutely not entitled to say that it is wrong or attempt to belittle or make disparaging remarks about it. You've simply overstepped the mark and are boarding on being personally insulting, and that's what I'm requesting you to stop doing. It is also against the rules for you to behave in this way and if you make another comment about my character (being biased, brainwashed, etc etc), I will report you.0 -

What exactly are we talking about with build quality? As far as I'm aware they're both built in the same part of the world probably by nearby factories (you can tell the difference by the lack of suicides at samsungs). Materials? The only difference is the casing the insides are basically the same materials but newer and better in the SGS2. Battery life:
Battery Life
1st : Galaxy S II – 1650mAh offering up to 710 standby hours using 2G, up to 610 standby hours using 3G, you will get up to 18 hours 20 minutes talk time using 2G and up to 8 hours 40 minutes using 3G. Plus the battery is user replaceable as an added bonus.
2nd: iPhone 4 - 1420mAh offering up to 300 standby hours using 2G and up to 300 standby hours using 3G, you will get up to 14 talk time hours using 2G and up to 7 hours talk time using 3G.My opinion is not wrong. Just to be clear you're saying if I don't stop disagreeing with you you're going to report me? Whilst stating that no opinions are wrong??? When have I made comments about your character?Threatening me is a good way of winning the argument???0 -

Really? Go on then tell me how iOS is soooooo much better than Android. As far as I'm aware its not but I have an open mind so where’s the evidence of your claims.
I've simply had no issues.
Opinion? Or Fact? Just wondering.
I'm not trying to convince you anything I know you'll believe what you want to believe despite the facts. And I've already said your welcome to your opinions they just don't marry up to reality. I'm unclear how “disagreeing” with your opinion is different from saying its “wrong”, or how is one more preferable to the other.
Just to be clear you're saying if I don't stop disagreeing with you you're going to report me? Whilst stating that no opinions are wrong??? When have I made comments about your character?Threatening me is a good way of winning the argument???
Banging head against brick wall comes to mind. I have used both phones. I find the iPhone 4 to be the better phone. That is the 'reality' of my opinion. Nothing you can say will change that.0 -
I would imagine OP has made up there mind by now. For what its worth ive got an SGS, why simple when my phone was due for upgrade I was offered SGS for £22 p.m or I4 for £37 I had a look at both and could not see how Iphone was worth another £15pm.0

What is an iPhone hater?
The question is what can either phone do that the other can't. Samsung have done very well with the SGS2, it is a better spec wise but no doubt the next version of the iPhone will be just as good as the SGS2 and the Sensation.
There is no question that Apple rolled out the first of its kind but they aren't innovating like they did with the first iPhone and they do play catchup now . The new handset from Apple is touted to have an 8 megapixel camera on the back and dual core processors with 1GB of RAM.....old news.
The SGS2 is a great phone, quick, easy to get around and it can be customised to your liking. Whilst we're on about Samsung and Apple, bet you didn't know that 26% of the iPhone 4 is made by Samsung, they make the chipset that powers how all the applications work, the rest is made by a company in China called Foxconn, Apple make 0% of it themselves.
I look at the OS when it comes to buying the phone and Android is far more open and you can do what you want with it.0 -
