Egg...

Hi guys,


Basically 39 days ago i asked for my statments, they noe replied saying the need ID(CC statment, utility) before they can proceed.

Plus now there saying once they receive this then they have 40 days?

Wish they let me know earlier!

Has anyone heard of Egg asking for ID verification? They asked me for a statment, utility bill etc. They took 40 days now their asking for it before they issue statments

I don't actually have a egg account anymore?

I have heard of other banks doing this. If the account is closed it is porbably just a security procedure

Yeah i agree and to stall me!

They have said once they receive it then they will start the 40 days, so it would have taken 80 days prob?lol

That's stupid....80 days :rotfl:

If I were you I would send a letter with your identification saying (in a better worded sense) that they have already had their 40 days...please find enclosed id....by not supplying the information you requested, they have breached your rights under the D.P.A. and leave you with no alternative that if you do not receive copies of your bank statements within the next seven days, you will forward copies of your requests to the Information Commissioner.

That should give them a kick in the pants

Don't suppose you know this question.

If a company puts a goodwill gesture in your account can they pull the money back out? if they get funny or stressed with me etc?

I wouldn't think so. Once the money is in your account, they cannot take money out of it without your permission or by giving you notice. Also, if it got to court stage, this wouldn't look very good to them at all!
