Egg...

  • I have had mixed success with reclaiming Credit card PPI charges. I went for and won £400 off Abbey whole process took about 6 months. With egg however, they just seem to put obstacles at every step.

My initial letter with a £1 cheque requesting a copy of my contract was returned with a curt "the account is closed and we have no obligation to respond" response. I then requested all the information that they have relating to my account enclosing a £10 cheque. Although they sent all my credit card statements that clearly show PPI payments being taken, I am not sure I have all the information that I require (still no contract/application form) to claim mis-selling.

Has anyone else successfully scaled the egg hurdle? Would just the credit card statements be enough to prosecute a successful claim?
Life is short, don't spend all your time payng for it:rotfl:
  • Egg refused me my PPI claim because they said I had TICKED the box online... I have sent all my letters to the FOS and hopefully they will sort the chickens (sorry bad joke) out....
  • i had an egg credit card, and now they are no longer running. How would i go about checking if i can claim back PPI?
as i do not have the paperwork, is there an easier way to check?
