Finally received my info on 15th March from Egg (credit card)! have sent off my letter asking for my money back but knowing egg they wont bother replying til I send the LBA - my question is though, if and when it goes to court and I add the interest do I just add the interest amount just for the the amount they charged me or can I add the amount they also charged in interest?0

Hi just wondered how people have gone about getting statements from Egg Credit card? I sent my letter ages ago with a cheque for £10 but still no response and the cheque hasn't been cashed. It's not 40 days yet but nearly. Just wondered if anyone had experience of how long they take? I sent my request to the Data protection officer as per the address in the main reclaim thread.0

Sorry to be thick, but, having just come across this I would like to try & reclaim some of my EggCard charges.
I've downloaded the letter template, and am correct in assuming it should be sent to:
Egg
Jenny Gordon
Data Protection Manager
Egg PLC
1 Waterhouse Square
138 – 142 Holborn
London
EC1N 2NA
Is this also the address that needs to be put on the actual letter? Or should it be:
Egg Card Services
BH2
Basildon
SS14 9AA
They seem to have a lot of addresses & I don't want to mess up!
Any help is greatly appreciated.0 -
Hi all,
After a long time of being scared to do anything, today I am going for it and sending letter 1 to both my credit cards and both my banks.
The query I have is that both my credit card accounts are closed and in interest free agreement for the last 2 years - does this matter?
Also, more importantly, EGG "sold" my debt to the nastiest debt collection company I have ever had the misfortune with dealing with - CSL services.
They are rude, nasty, impatient and have made me cry multiple times on the phone.
Who do I go for in that instance? EGG or CSL?0 -
By "go for" - I mean sending letter 2 - the first step of the claim?0

Hi there, Not sure whether i was lucky. I actually got my charges sent to me after a phone call to Egg. Only claiming £40 though. First reply was an offer of the difference between what they used to charge £20 and what they now charge £16. Then being a bit lazy copied and pasted the second letter onto a secure email through to them and low and behold an offer came through the post today for £51.80( £40 + £11.80 int). Seemed so easy to me.
Must be one of the lucky ones.
Hang in there!!0 -

Egg sold mine to CSL aswell - I went straight to egg for the bits and bobs and when CSL called for a payment I told them that payments were suspended until egg had repaid my charges back to me. because egg have dragged their heels for so long, CSL told egg they didn't want to collect from me anymore because I was being difficult - egg have now sent it to another debt collection company and they are a lot more understanding of the situation - mainly because I have said to them as soon as the charges have been resolved I will pay them.0 -

Just an update - On saturday I received a list of all my transcations from egg along with my original cheque for £10 as "there is no charge for this service"
This is good. So they took their time but not quite 40 days, that would be up next week. Glad they didn't charge me the £10 though, hope they don't think that will sweeten me not to push to reclaim back all the late fees and over limit fees!! No way!! Will update on progress as and when.0
