I haven't read this whole thread, but yes affairs can work out well in the long run, there are a lot of second marriages. People marry for the wrong reasons, marry to young, get bored, grow apart etc why should they be expected to spend their whole life being unhappily married to the wrong person? Because of fear, a lot of people are to scared to move on and end up unhappy and resentful, so a couple of old sayings, if you love someone then set them free, if it's meant to be then they will come back, and secondly what's for you won't go by you.

The OP is planning to meet her (shared) man in 2-and-a-half weeks time.

Do we think we can last out that long to hear the (cue drumroll) decision he's made?

Or are there enough Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale etc etc episodes to keep us going until then?

Who is going to end up with the last word on this thread? The obviously right answer that affairs can sometimes end up with a happy ending or the complete doom mongers saying that it can never happen despite evidence all around us to the contrary?

Good lord OP, get some self respect. He's gone on holiday with his wife - the one who makes him unhappy - and you're hanging round waiting for him? I can guarantee he will not be giving you a second thought

At first, reading this thread, I was thinking what an awful woman you were for being a mistress, now I just pity you. Wasting your life on a bloke who just sees you as a play thing.

Of course he loves you, luv. Thats why he is on holiday with his wife at the moment:D

I'd prefer to read what happens to the OP, rather than endless pontification about whose opinion is right and whose is wrong.

Well I'd like to hear too, but only if the OP feels comfortable about sharing it.

    Why wouldn't she?

She's the one who asked the question in the first place.

Perhaps because of some of the vile comments, bordering on hate mail she has received.

no I'm sure she's not going to lose any sleep, but seriously, sitting round waiting for a bloke who is otherwise taking, deciding whether he wants to be with her not?
