"It depends"
Wrong if you agreed not to commit adultery
Not wrong if you say "hey, I'm off to commit adultery with poppyoscar, her hubby said yes, that ok with you?"
"Yes, have fun! Ohh, I just made lemon cake, why don't you take her some?"
(Yes, I know people who live like that. Not MANY....
And generally people would be appalled at the lack of sex in poly relationships! Is mainly *not* about the sex from what I can see.)Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
Im not condoning PTN at all, im just saying that there is such a thing as the various shades of grey. It's wrong to cheat? Well, what about polygamous communities? They feel its right.
Of course they don't! the whole point about cheating / infidelity is one person out of a relationship deciding to be polygamous!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
It's still wrong to cheat, but I wouldn't fall out with a friend, if they were cheating.
It's not my place to judge them.
PTN is being messed about as much as the wife.
Um. Not quite as much as the wife...........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I'm telling myself that it is something that I've got him and she hasn't, at least as it now stands.
Nope. Wrong way round. Tell himself he's bloody lucky he's got you....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

The wife of course, much more.
The "lover" is being messed about, if the man/woman is telling them they are unhappy and will leave. They are left dangling. never get involved with a married person.
It's messy all round.
A bloke I used to know through work, nice fella, used to talk about " his lady"
I thought it was his girlfriend. But it was another mans wife.
She had told him the usual - he didn't pay her enough attention, was etc.
I told him he was in the wrong.
I don't know why some people settle for second best ?
Christmas, they are with their families and they are on their own. Their "lover" is waking up with the wife/husband0 -

I hope you do end it and get someone decent.
I wouldn't ever be the other woman. I couldn't be with a man who deceives his wife and family. I'm worth more than that!
How can you respect a liar?
I could never take a man back who cheated. I know friends who have and they can never trust them again.
PTN is allowing herself to be 'messed about' , if she is. The wife probably doesn't have a clue that she's being 'messed about'
That's quite a difference; one has a choice which is denied to the other......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Discriminating against someone on grounds of something they cant help - like their sex/age/state of health is always wrong.
Depends on what basis you are discriminating, surely?
In a work related situation, you wouldn't hire someone who needed a wheelchair to be a labourer.
In a personal situation, people are quite discriminating about gender in relation to potential partners........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Not for all parties involved, no.0
