oooo well I'm hoping the panny lives up to the high hopes I have of it
My previous breadmaker it has to be said has been near perfect! It's just getting to where the silicon is wearing off through wear and tear so it's not very non-stick, the motor for the blade is also making lots of noise and the nut and seed tray thing lost it's cover long ago
It's had a long and hard life by my Breadman Ultima (or something like that) has done well I have to say
Panny (oh dear lord it's been named now!) has some big shoes to step into
BTW all you with cook books... I got the best one EVER... sorry there is no competition with Jamie, Deliah and Gordon... I got:
Nanny Oggs cook book! Yep! Complete with Nobby's mum distressed pudding amongst many favourites! (and most are actually doable so shall have to have a go lol)DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Nanny Ogg's cook book? Am totally jealous.
May you live in interesting times!

I got a Carl Lewis health grill. I would never have put his name to a cookery product, but reading a copy of FHM in the gents bogs at work a while back, that lads mag rated it the best grill going for size and cooking potential. Can't wait to get the steak on it...:DNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

Got a great Curry recipe book and a set of cookie cookers and three biscuit/cake tins (which stack into each other when empty like Russian dolls). I'm delighted with my OS presents

Also got some self indulgent presents too
Enjoying an MSE OS life

tine - I got Nanny Ogg's Cookbook too! Totally unexpected as I hadn't even heard of it until a couple of days ago but DH knows I am a complete TP freak and when he went to get me Wintersmith he spotted that on the shelf too and bought it for me.
Other than that I got my Sabatier carving set which was a complete joy to use yesterday and I know BIL has something up his sleeve to do with patchwork but I don't know what.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

LOL me too
My mum retired recently and she's missing the internet, they STILL haven't got a computer at home  She always used it at work. I bought the OS book for her, she said
"oooooooh, a Martin Lewis book
"
:rotfl: :rotfl:
She's thinking of getting a laptop and internet connection so hopefully she'll join us on here :TBulletproof0 -

I think pretty much all my presents were OS this year with the exception of a four piece dinner service from some good friends. Good though, because now I can serve up a dinner for four for the first time (don't try saying that out loud) with everything in the same pattern
One of the highlights is a set of thermal socks
Honest
My feet get cold easily and then seem to stay cold for ever - so I was really pleased to get them
But the top top TOP one has to be my brand new Morphy Richards Fastbake. It's the one with the lie flat blade and it makes jam too. Tried and tested already and the very first loaf out of it was a success. Yay!
And I like the tall sandwhich loaf type of shape as well. No more cropping slices to fit the toaster or, as is more usually the case, top and turning it so that the middle is almost burnt but the ends are still underdone.
Oh and I got huggy thing.
It has a wheat bag in it that you heat in the microwave and apply where needed. It's like magic
So I'm pleased to announce that I've had a really good christmas this year. Not just presents - it's been a lovely time altogether. Best Christmas I've had in years.
