I got a new Kenwood BM, yet to try it as the instructions are missing. Going to have a look on the Kenwood site in a minute to see if I can download it. I extremely pleased as our BM died months ago and I've not had time to do bread every week since.Sorting my life out one day at a time0

Me! I got a new handheld blender, my cheapy one from Asda had started making awful noises, so mum and dad got me this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Braun-MR6550-Multiquick-Hand-Blender/dp/B000E8RD5I/sr=1-1/qid=1167135925/ref=sr_1_1/202-9758137-6826227?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen
It's in a rather big box, so I'll have to wait until they can bring it over to me in the new year, but it'll be a lesson in deferred gratification!
I'd asked for some books on breadmaking as well, but didn't get those, so I may have to look in the sales tomorrow

I got a Rival crock pot slow cooker, which i wasn't expecting.
I had mentioned to my sister that i was going to pick one up after christmas, along with a breadmaker.
I have homemade soup cooking in it right now
I think that is going to be my most useful christmas pressie. If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.
ROCK IT DON'T STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BE GOOD OR BE GOOD AT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of my pressies were indulgent (huge box of Lush bath smellies that i can never afford to buy myself, fairtrade choccy, etc), but i did get a brilliant 'easy indian' cookery book which i'm dead chuffed with as a) it doesnt have the usual 100 ingredient and 8 hours of cooking time recipes, and b) mum must have spent hours going through books to find one that was easy and almost entirely vegetarian! Also got a brill herbs and spices set with a small chopping board and a very sharp mini cleaver type thing for herbs.. which i promptly cut myself on :rotfl:
Also got a huge snuggly blanket for me and my boyfriend, brilliant as our house is freezing in winter.0 -
