Who got OS pressies then? :)

I got an unexpected OS present. I only found out on Christmas Eve that my ex inlaws would be alone for Christmas. I divorced their son over 11 years ago but we have stayed in contact cos they are nice and they are my children's grandparents.
They are now in their eighties and I was not prepared to have them left on their own so they were invited in with our crowd.
TBH they were so happy to be invited that I felt really guilty that I hadn't thought of it before but I honestly thought that they spent the day with their son. After they heard about my disaster with my ancient pressure cooker and how I had only now just about got it cleaned up they offered me a nice new stainless steel one.:j They had been given a 'spare' and were happy to help. This was in addition to the Christmas present they bought me. Goes to show "what goes around comes around".
But on a more serious note I will now be checking more regularly on them to make sure they are OK and I urge all of you to think about anyone near you who may get overlooked.True wealth lies in contentment - not cash. Dollydaydream 20060 -
Three Dancing Dragons, OH would have bought me the most expensive if I'd asked for it (or even told him it existed!) but the ordinary Chef 310 is down to less than £150 now in most places. Still a lot of money but a hell of a lot less than the £300 for the Major and a real bargain compared to how much Chefs used to be! Maybe start dropping a hint for next Xmas???0

My mum actually bought me a pack of four microfibre cloths, she even took the trouble to wrap them up
To be fair she actually did me a bag of pressies with various useful and indulgent pressies individually wrapped up and i had great fun opening them all. She said she wanted to buy me some stardrops as well but couldnt find any in the shops :rotfl:
Do you think it was my families way of telling me i talk too much about OS?:o

Me too!
I've used it loads already this past week....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
