By installing do you mean entering them manually? If not, did you check them?

Re 'water damage', have you checked the water damage indicator(s)? How old is the phone? If it's under warranty, they have to prove the damage, not just say it.

Ermm...the t-mobile person on the phone sent the config settings to my phone, and i installed each one - i didn't check it though, i dnt know what to look for?

how can i check the water damage indicator? according to the e2save website, i can take it to carphonewarehouse for a free repair, but is it worth doing it if t-mbile said it was water damage? i can't say for certain whether or not water has got to it.

You have to use/check the settings for t-mobile: http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-support/index?page=home&cat=SOFTWAREDOWNLOADS&pcateg=HELPANDADVICE

Liquid damage indicators are small white square stickers inside the phone, usually on the battery and near it:

    They get pink/red if tripped.

i've had a look at the water damage indicator and if i'm looking at the right thing, mine is black (!)

anyways, thanks grumbler for your giffgaff link, it helped me to do a search on what setting i needed exactly (i had had no idea of what to search for before), and i've found the correct settings and my phone now picks up MMS's!!

    Thank u!
