Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I just dont understand Smartphones. We bought the Samsung Galaxy Apollo on contract with 100 mins talk time, and 500 texts per month. The guy in the shop asked if we wanted the internet for £3.99 per month, but we said no - we have wifi at home so figured we could just use this for free.
But, we cannot connect to our Google Account, and therefore cant reach the Android Market for apps, we just get a message saying:
" this account cannot be used on the phone because it is missing the following application - Google Calendar. Please contact the domain administrator."
Sometimes the calendar is there, then we get the message:
"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server."

Please help me learn the ways of this mysterious new technology :o

Did you set up the google account during first time set up.

Maybe try a factory reset - but bearing in mind it will no doubt wipe your text messages, any camera photos when doing that.

As expected I need some help please!

Bit of a background, we do have a wireless router at home but I can't connect to it with my phone as my brother installed the router and did something so that you can't even find it as an available network (don't ask me why!) so I'm currently using a neighbours open network to connect to the internet.
I've tried to find out how I connect to 3G on my phone but I just can't make any sense of it, I've searched on google but each page is telling me something different and on some of them it will say press such and such and then such and such and it's asking me to press things that aren't even on my phone.
I've been on the Tmobile site and had the configuration settings sent for my phone, still no luck.
    Can anyone help me please?

Also, I'm signed into Hotmail on my phone but everytime I click into my emails it's showing them all as unread, and it doesn't show when I've got new emails, can anyone help me with this (probably something really simple but the 3G thing has fried my brain lol).
    Thanks!
