Hi Mike,
As per the other discussions above it really looks like your phone is blocked. You can still give it a try by contacting to O2 guys and asking them if there is any alternative through which you could make your phone working again.0 -
I've found a good deal on the Galaxy S but the only thing putting me off is that the camera doesn't have a flash. Does anyone have this phone who can tell me what the quality of the pictures this phone takes is like please?

here's a great website where you can compare specs and picture qualities based on same objects.

Yes except when flash is needed its a pain .
Would it stop me buying the phone not unless i took a lot of photos in low light ,
Very good phone in my opinion.
One point to note Smartphone Mobile Data on 24 hours unless you use something like Quick Settings to turn data off when not required .

In my opinion its an excellent phone, the camera takes really crisp clear shots and you are able to alter all settings etc, it also has a crop / rotate function as well.
Its my first smart phone didnt want the same old same old Iphone everyone has one.
There are plenty of apps to choose from, the software glitches have hopefully been sorted, the last update has really extended my battery and has improved the signal quality and strength, I would advise you to get a screen protector though.
My only gripe would be no flash for the camera, other than that its a s*it hot phone and I love it.You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
I got the phone last week - first-time smart phone for me too. It's very easy to use and all seems quite intuitive once you've played around with it for a while. The battery consumption is shocking to begin with, I only had about 5 hours use out of it for the first 2-3 charges, but getting 2 days now (switched off overnight).
Camera is crisp and can handle indoor daytime shots without a flash. Haven't used it in really low light conditions yet.
Swype is brilliant once you get the hang of it, no need for crummy text-speak anymore!
It's really easy to have Data Synch switched off and just activate it when you want to use a function that requires it - you get a prompt and a shortcut where this is necessary. Just go to Settings - Accounts and Sync to switch it back off.
The few things I don't like -
I can't unlock the phone with one hand. Just swiping the bar with my thumb doesn't work, it has to be a direct horizontal swipe.
The alarm doesn't work if the phone is switched off (loved that feature on my old SE).
The screen is difficult to see in strong sunlight if you have it dimmed to conserve battery. And obviously you can't see enough to get the screen light levels turned up! There is an auto-feature to control this but it doesn't seem that responsive."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -

Just touch the top bar with your finger, then sweep left/right to quickly adjust brightness.
There are not many phones better in sunlight as this one.
Had mine about 6 months and still love it:D0
