Usually reason for battery drain is apps that are connecting and using battery .
Some use juice defender others freeze apps that are not required via Titanium backup pro .

  • I would go for the Galaxy S II. Although, the Xperia play has the controller and exclusive games, the phone itself uses some older hardware (and they're selling it at similar prices). This means, the Galaxy S II uses more newer hardware (such as a dual core processor) to make games run more smoothly and the phone itself faster (actually, it's currently the fastest phone you can get). The screen is also a lot better on this phone with it's vivid colours and the camera isn't too saturated. It comes with 16 GB of memory so again, it's a much better deal.

    Hi all.

Am hoping you can help e figure our why my Apollo Galaxy can't send or receive picture txt msgs. If i receive one, it tells me i've got to go to T-mobile's site to view it, and when I try to send a pic, it just says 'sending' and never does send.

    Any ideas?

Also I have a 3g sign in the top bar - what does this mean?

I sent the phone off for repair and was told it was water damaged - but if that was the case how can it be that the only thing that doesn't work is the pic txt msg?! I bought the phone in June this year from e2 save.

Are you sure that the settings in the phone are correct?

3g is the type of the signal the phone is using to connect to the network (2g, EDGE, 3g, HSPA). 2g is the slowest connection.

Water damage is a common excuse for refusing to repair handsets under warranty: Samsung Galaxy S2 bricked after 30 days. There is a possibility that your phone really was water damaged.

By installing do you mean entering them manually? If not, did you check them?

Re 'water damage', have you checked the water damage indicator(s)? How old is the phone? If it's under warranty, they have to prove the damage, not just say it.
  • I am having repeated problems on this phone which is a shame because I love the phone.

    The 2 problems are:

    1. Internet dropping out completely (no H, 3G, G or EDGE at all) many times daily despite there being a strong H signal and

    2. SIM card seemingly resetting itself, all signals going and being replaced by blue circle with diagonal line across, followed by request for my SIM PIN (yes I lock my SIM).

I have swapped SIM cards and this has made no difference and wondered if there is something I can do before Carphone Warehouse send it away for 3 weeks to diagnose?
