Whoooo hoooooo lolIf it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Oh!
In your position I'd be looking again at Ikea.
Hi Leif,
Can I ask what you mean by that? When you ask if the cost included appliances I said yes - surely this is a good thing? lol.
To answer your question on ikea. Well at first I was going to buy from Ikea - this was a year ago when I first started looking. Whilst I like the culture of ikea, when it came to shopping for my kitchen they were very unsupportive. I know it's a 'self service' type of place, but when I asked for help I was told to basically do it on the computer either in store, or at home. When spending a load of money I don't want to forget something like the end panels of the little bits and bobs needed which we all forget (well I will) - hence why I'd like some help. So I was a bit annoyed after a 25mile journey to be told that.
I'd also not want ikea appliances (probably like most people) and therefore source my own. Even though when shopping around I'm allowing the companies to see what the best deals are they can do on their appliances. Though I'm quite happy with the likes of Bosch, AEG etc.
Don't get me wrong, Ikea look good and they have loads of clever storage systems etc, though would I be saving that much? I'd have to get the units and worktops etc for less than £4k - which might be possible? Ikea can produce some great stuff, but also some very poor stuff in my opinion.
It could be worthwhile me pricing it all up, but not using their clumsy software! lol
Thanks
