Kitchen Ideas

Options
Hi all,

This is a quick plan of my proposed kitchen layout. The doors are non changeable now as they're set in place. Along with the window (I know it's pretty obvious syaing that, but some people may think - change the door to open the other way etc.)

The layout is planned as two "L" shapes. One serving as a small breakfast bar counter. Gas and electric supplied to the back wall ready for either combination of cooker and hobs. Water based appliances on the other side to drain into the yard.

So - a lot of the layout is already organised, though the arrangement of storage cupboards and what other kitchen gadgets / cool items to include is open to input.

Thanks Meepster for having a look at it for me!!

Cheers!!

Is there supposed t be a plan there?
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

I can't access the plan at work (damn firewall) but I'll get it when I get home and then have a play about with it on Monday for you :)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

In case you're worried, Typer, I can see it too.

One thing I didn't get in our kitchen that I wish I had was a Qwooker (or whatever it's called) or similar boiling water provider. Just thought I'd mention before going back and looking better at your plan.

Ok, I see the plan now :D

Right, can you let me know what type of appliances you are wanting (i.e. sng/dbl oven? d/washer? W/machine? 4 or 5 burner hob? fridge/freezer? etc etc) and I'll have a play about with it tomorrow for you :)

    Cool. Well I was thinking:
    Double range cooker style.
    Dishwasher
    Washing machine
I was wanting a built in fridge freezer, though the american style ones with ice dispensers etc are bigger.
I was thinking of a small beer / wine fridge unit too.

To be honest I'm a nightmare as I'm really undecided on a lot of stuff! :S (sorry)

Here's a basic design I put together today. I know it's not perfect, but you still need to decide on a few things :D
