I was replying to the poster who said that the OP should be tough in order to find out the father, I don't think she will though.

I know you were - hence my comment.

OP I think you have the patience of a saint and it's great that her father is being involved. But..... if it was my DD I would demand to know who the father is. She is a minor, I would be giving my help/support etc. but I would feel I had a right to know.

I wouldn't !!!!! foot around DD either pandering to her every whim. I would be of the opinion that she thinks it's okay to act like an adult having a sexual relationship so I would treat her as such, albeit a young adult.

IMO her options are limited at 14 weeks, but that is just my opinion, but plans have to be made.

I would also bet at least one of her friends knows as its doubtful she hasn't broke down and confided in one of them.

Your DD knows your love is constant but you are her mother not her best friend. She is a minor so you have to keep control of the situation. Whatever she decides I think the school should know in case her behaviour changes, grades drop, she seems withdrawn etc.

I do feel for you dealing with this situation as I know it's come as a great shock. xxxx

ive a 15yr year old who i thought was on the "good, right path", i cant believe how much she has lied to me and stolen from me. I thought id bought her up better than that. She wouldnt surprise me on any thing she did now, although i hope for the best. Please op, i hope youre not thinking the same way i did, unfortunately on being such a "fair" parent, ive done a lot of damage. i must say though, that her friend was pregnant, 15, didnt tell her parents, went to the appts etc. Was told on the last appt for the termination that she had to go with a parent as it was a school day. She told her parents the night before and they are utterly gutted they werent told. This was last week, you are not alone! My daughter who is causing and getting into so much trouble, said that she has the only parent that could be told, which for such a wierd comment i take love from. Take point of that op, you are a wonderful parent. i would now be starting to get angry about the father though, enough is enough, u are a minority, she cant use that to hurt. She knows what shes doing, she/they are not as innocent as they lead us to believe, as we remember from being 15. I had my first child at 17 by the way, hes doing fantastically. I have no relationship with my parents though as they told me to abort him. Another thing to think of. Dont let her fob you off anymore, the time has come for talking, written, txtd whatever. ~U are there for her, make sure she knows in a shouty way if you have too, u must know who the father is, its important! xxx

Well, that's makes three of us who think this.

Nobody wants the poor child thrown on the streets but the way some people are talking you'd think she's achieved something rather wonderful.

I don't think she's achieved something wonderful although you could argue that a new life is just that but that is another post altogether. However her mum has to deal with the situation as it is now and only she knows how her daughter will react if se is too heavy handed.
I know you were - hence my comment.

    Sorry if I misunderstood.

There's only one OP and mother here who can see 1st hand how her 15 year old girl is reacting and deal with it...can everyone please remember that?

Agreed - although if we are considering the OP's daughter's feelings, is she delighted that her life is being discussed across the Internet?

There is nothing wrong with a little balance; apart from the odd troll no one has been nasty, but there needs to be some balance. The OP is being told over and over that her decisions are correct and that she is a wonderful Mum - I disagree with the former and think relentless praise helps no one and therefore have said as much. Courteously. So I'll thank you not to tell me how to post or think. Especially when your next post is this:
