ONW, I do not know anyone who'd prefer their 15 year old to be a smackhead over being pregnant! That's outrageous!

I'm still thinking along the lines of certain problems being transient which, unless the pregnancy is terminated, having a baby certainly isn't.

Frankly, it's a silly comparison, nobody could avoid noticing if they're child was on heroin, even if they manage to miss the fact that they're sexually active and pregnant.
  • Would you? Well, we're all different I suppose.

You don't have to have a scan before a termination if the pregnancy is early enough and dates are certain. If there is any doubt as in this case I would think a scan would be needed.
it must vary from area to area then because one of dd's friends recently had a very early termination (she was 6 weeks) 100% certain of her dates (her bf is in the army and he was home on leave) but she still had to have a scan before they would let her take the first tablet.

OP did you have any clue before your DD told you that something was wrong. It's just I always pick up when something is bothering DD even if she denies it. Something as major as this would have changed DD behaviour during the past 12 or so weeks.

l feel sorry for the OP asking for advice and having to wade through all the judgementalists wasting space on the thread.

Nature of the beast when posting such an intimate, personal problem on an unmoderated forum.

I'm pretty sure my mother would've know what was going on; for most of my teens I thought she had a crystal ball!
