I work in a college in the same room as the SLO (Student Liaison Officer) and he keeps a box of condoms under his desk and 16 year olds regularly pop in for one.....funny though, without exception, they all ask for large!!0

Really?
You can't see what difference it makes whether it's a lad from school or heaven forbid an adult in a trusted position?
You can't see that that would make a difference to how she may feel about a child she's possibly bringing into the world and how she would feel about that child and how she may want to proceed with the pregnancy?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Definitely You have to talk to her!! Probably it´s an unexpected situation for you. From my pedagogical view, people should find only positive factors from every situation. If your relationship with daughter is in normal that daughter has a brilliant support for her motherhood. I think the power of family is always the biggest culture element in our society.0

Condoms only come in large, extra large and dear me what's that!
Opinion seems polarised about discovering the name of the father. Perhaps one reason it needs to be discovered PDQ is that the girl didn't have a boyfriend, doesn't have a boyfriend and her mum believed she knew where she was and who she was with during her every waking minute. The girl flatly refuses to say who, when, what or anything else and says she hasn't yet shared the news with the father despite having known herself for weeks......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

The girl already knows - it the mum who does not have this information.0 -

I think what some posters are saying is the future of the pregnancy is more important at the momentVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
I agree the DD knows, so will make her choices based on that knowledge. If the mother knew, she could unknowingly force the the DD into a choice. Such as "Do you really want an every day reminder of "so and so" when you look at your child?" "You are right mum, I will terminate" and 6 months later regret it and blame her mum for talking her into it..
On the other hand.
Maybe the OP knowing could help in offering the right advice, in a manner deemed correct, helping the DD see the bigger picture
Note I see both sides, so do not bite my head off
I still think the priority is in the DD deciding what to do,rather than for the OP to find out details on the father.Especailly given the limited time if the termination route is taken later. Here to learn and pass on my experiences.
Had a total of £8200 of debt written off due to harassment during 2010 and 2012.0 -
Some have mentioned the doctor not sending her for a scan and the OP's daughter being 14 weeks pregnant. I don't think the doctor would send her for a scan or any other pregnancy type appointments until a decision has been made. I wouldn't like my daughter to see a scan of a baby she may decide it's best to abort.
Talking is the best step for now but a decision has to come quick.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

You don't have to see the screen but you DO have to have the scan.0
