MBNA did a similar thing for me, but when I tried to apply, they refused and said the offer I received was one of the junk mail leaflets sent to all customers. Terms and Cond, meant I could not run them back to back.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Paid of this card last week and requested another offer this week. Have been given another 6 months (originally had 9 months) at 0% with no transaction fee when I Balance Transfered from another credit card (would have been £50 fee if transfered to Current Account). Just hope Bank of Scotland can do the same as this is up for negotiation soon!!! :j0

I had a £5000 BT at 0%, due to finish its promotional rate on 11/01/06 - so I paid it off last week. Got back from visiting family for New Year to find an offer from M&S to do a BT at 0% for 6 months as long as it is done by 28th February. And there is no BT fee for doing it.
And the credit limit got increased a while back to £7000. Thanks M&S - and not even a phone call required. Not even wrong0 -
Sent email to egg saying i wished to cancel my card and they said i could have six months interest free for balance transfers again :rudolf:0

Right, as a newbie, am I right in thinking I could get a credit card at 0% for 9 months, transfer enough money to clear my overdraft at the bank, then work on paying off the card before the interest starts??

New to this site. Have been reading the bit about shuffling credit card balances. I phoned my Tesco card and they offered to give me a 6.9 rate on life of balance (which I they said means balance transfers). Can I transfer my partners' cards on to my card as I'll have the better rate? (Different name)
Thanks(Angus is my dog, not me ...)0 -
just got off the phone from LTSB and they offered me 4.9% LOB with a £35 fee. .0

They really must want my debt! My 0% ends in Feb. They rang twice today - once when I was out and just as I walked in from work. Result: 0.9% on 6 month balance transfers even suggest I could just pay it into my current account. Was far too harrassed to ask fee's etc but they're ringing back next week!!0

I have paid off the balance owing on my 0% cards by transferring to another 0% offer. I was not offered any extensions on my 0% cards by either Abbey or M&S. Yesterday I wrote to both asking what they could offer me, I did say in the letter that if there were no current offers then I would like to cancel the card.
Having read this thread I am hopeful that perhaps M&S may give me an extension offer.
