Virgin offered me 0.9% 6 months, 35 fee on 9.5k sbt after I just paid off 9 months 0% no fee - anyone see any reason not to take them up on this - anyone had a better offer?
    I think....
  • Have been a Halifax customer for 18 months. Originally tranferred an existing balance onto the card with a 6.95% rate on balance transfer for life of balance.

Received a letter last week with cheques offering same rate (6.95%) on any transfers made from other credit cards to the Halifax account for life of balance with no BT Fee. Offer is also available if BT made by phone quoting code.

    Offer expires 26 Mar 06

I have just agreed 7.9% life of balance with tesco, they upped my limit by a grand as well, the card had been sat empty for almost a year so im well chuffed. I know its not the best rate, but it helps me out

Looking for a good rate with halifax one and no BT fee, any chance of less than 6.9%?

    Just did a BT today with M&S &More, 0% for 6 months.

I asked them a month ago what the BT rate was and they said 9.9% for 6 months. I cleared the balance as my previous BT of 0% for 6 months was coming to an end this month.
Phoned them up today after receiving a zero statement and they said 0% so I did the BT straightaway.
This is the 3rd 0% I have had from them, each time I have had a zero balance, think that was the key.

    Hope this helps someone.

Did they charge a BT fee?

No, there is no BT fee (yet) with that card.

It has been the best card I have got. Which seems funny as its owned by HSBC.
