    Hi everyone,

What a fantastic thread!:D Thanks so much.

I'm going to Milan at the beginning of March so I followed the tips on here and managed to find a hotel that Easyhotel had down as £363 for the stay and quickrooms.com had down as £169.66!

I thought I had a free hotel and quickly sent in my claim but they have just emailled me back to say that the price they can see on quickrooms.com is £331 not £169.

I've just looked again and it is definately £169.66, the same hotel is £169 on octopus travel aswell. They haven't even asked me for screen shots; they have just said that they have sent the claim to head office to refund double the difference between £331 and £363.

I have replied to the email(from hotelopia) attaching my screenshots of both websites. Is this all I need to do?

I'm worried about waiting for a reply and then them saying it's no longer within 24 hours so my claim is invalid.

did you reply again within 24hrs?

this happened with me, i went back witha screenshot and they were ok

Yes, I only booked this morning and I replied back a couple of hours ago. No response as yet.

Fingers crossed it will be ok then if the same thing happened to you. I was dancing for joy when I thought the hotel would be free. :D

    Help me please guys!

I had a booking with EJH for the Farah Kenzi in Marrakech and submitted my claim on Jan 23rd. They lost my claim. Now they have all the details/ screen shots etc, they are STILL considering it.

So I am looking for an alternative hotel. I have had a quick look, and will keep looking (I am very determined!), but if anybody is bored I would be very grateful for any helpers!

I am looking for the following:

    Marrakech
    Double for Single Use/ Single
    18th - 21st February (very soon I know!)

    Thanks in advance! x
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Just ran the search on hotel comparison website, found hotel Ryad Mogador, easyjet price 181, diytravel 81.
  • SUCCESS

EJH have just accepted my claim for reserveahotelonline.com.

Took me a couple of emails to head office to get it, including a bit of a shirty one last night.

    Copied below.

    Thank you for your reply.

This comment is ambiguous, please confirm you have agreed my claim against https://www.reserveahotelonline.com at the £309.00 price I submitted screenshots for.

    Yours,

    Cumbrian Male

    Dear Sir,

Thank you for your e-mail. As far as I can see from the history of our correspondence you offered us two alternative web sites. Initially I was working on your first e-mail. It was for https://www.reserveahotelonline.com 309 GBP and I asked for screenshots, which you kindly provided. Few minutes after that I started to work on you second e-mail for https://www.find-rooms.com with the price of 313 GBP. I was able to gather all the information from https://www.find-rooms.com and I immediately sent an e-mail to our head department. In my opinion they validated your claim at 313 GBP(competitive price), but I will have to ask them one final time so I can be sure. This is getting a little bit messy because of the 2 alternatives, for which I apologize. What is important is that one of your two claims is approved and the difference is not so big- 4 GBP. I am about to find out how much exactly you are going to be reimbursed so we can provide you some final information. I want to thank you for all your patience. We will let you know for sure soon.

    Best Regards

    Boris Toshkov

    Dear Cumbrian Male,

This is to confirm that your double price guarantee claim has been accepted and the amount of 310 GBP will be refunded to your credit/debit card on your return.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information or assistance.

    Dear Annie 1641,

I submitted my claim against https://www.reserveahotelonline.com

Your price £468, their price £309, difference = £159 which would be a refund of £318.

Why has this claim been continually ignored?

It was the first price quoted and the relevant screenshots were supplied when requested.

Please reply with an explanation to why this has not been honoured.

I have booked flights, airport lounges, and hotel through Easyjet.

Only this portion of my booking with Hotelopia has been problematic.

You must get a great deal of traffic from Easyjet and your prices are greatly inflated in comparison to those other sites I quoted.

You now seem to want to avoid what I can only see as a valid claim, and I intend to point this out to Easyjet who are providing you with substantial business.

You are using Easyjet's image to portray yourselves as a low cost option when you are clearly not.

    I attach the screenshots again.

    I require a reply within 48 hours.

    Yours,

    Cumbrian Male

    Disgruntled Easyjet customer.

    Dear Cumbrian Male,

Your double price garantee claim has been checked and accepted, 318GBP will be refunded at return form your holiday.

  • Well done cumbrian male to stick to your gun, maybe I should send an email to headoffice as well.........as the claim I help my friend made has been 4 working days now and still no reply.
  • My claim was submitted on 29th January, had auto reply, then asked for screen shots, this was sent to head office, then waited until 10th February for a reply. So 10 days from screen shots being sent up.

Took 2 emails to head office to prompt their reply.

Me thinks they are a bit busy at present.;)

Maybe a nudge to remind them your waiting.

    can anybody help me (again!)
I put a claim in last night against easy jet ,I have a reply that says they are not honouring it for 2 reasons

"First because the price indicated by you is not the full and final price because of the
credit card charges (our are always the same)-"
and they have inserted quote from findmeaccoma "Payments
We accept all major credit and debit cards. There is a charge of £1 for any bookings made using a debit card or switch card, a charge of 2% for any bookings made using a credit card and a charge of 3% for any bookings made using American Express."

am I right in thinking that you actually put all your details in of your cc and to get the total price you would have had to actually booked the hotel
    reason 2
is that the price has gone up overnight and is not available now at that price but is much higher, I sent them a screenshot of the lower price it was last night surley that is proof of the lower price
    any suggestions

Just to say I havn't given up on this claim yet have emailed cs but had no reply am now gonna send email to head office
  • Someone asked about using Alpharooms as a comparison site.

I couldn't find anywhere on their site if they were ATOL or ABTA bonded so I asked.

    This was their reply

    Thanks for your mail.

For your reference, alpha rooms are not ABTA or ATOL bonded.

However we have recently launched a new brand called vacenza and this is.

    Kind regards

    Hope this helps someone.
