Free Barcelona Hotel Loopyhole

The AB Viladomat hotel in barcelona is quoted at £163 a night on easyjethotels. However if you book with easyjethotels and you find the smae for less, they give you double the difference.

On a room only basis the same room type is on https://www.hotelpronto.com for £100.00 less, double the difference means a full refund when you get back of your outlay (capped at what you have spent!)

So if you have a bit to lay out in return for a freebie hotel, this is one on offer I have spotted.

From what I could find on their website, they give you the difference back, not double it. So, assuming your prices are correct, you could book with easyjet for £163 and go to all the trouble of claiming your £63 back, which is probably quite time consuming, or just book with hotelpronto and pay your £100 and save yourself the hassle.

Can you give a link to where it says they will pay you double the difference?

budget flyer uses this method alot only thing to beaware of it MUST be the same room type and board bases .
So one couldnt be on BB and then the other on RO or a jr suite/city view but otherwise go for it I think you get your money returned when you have completed your stay
Look for budgetflyers web site full details on how to claim are on there as well as a guide to the whole proses
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

I've looked into this, I think the pitfall is that you get the money after you have stayed in the hotel, much easier and more sensible just to get a good deal by doing a thorough search https://www.tripadvisor.com and https://www.hotelscomparison.com are great websites that help you find accommodation.

Thanks for the plug girls :-)
Looks a goer to me TBeckett100 , cant see anything on the site that disqualifies this for a price match.

Just to confirm, I have used this method several times and saved 1/3 of the price on hotels both in Benidorm and Lloret for weekend breaks

GlenTheBaker ,Im sure got confirmation from easyjethotels that he was getting a FULL REFUND when he price matched against Alpha rooms or Find-rooms for a hotel stay he booked
  • Not wanting to hijack this post but does anyone know how soon Easyjet Hotels reply with the status of your claim? I put in a claim within 24 hours - this was over a week ago - received confirmation that they had received my claim and sent it to head office but heard nothing since.
    Thanks

Yep, that was me. EasyJet Hotels had a hotel in Riga for New Year for a total of £166 for 3 nights. AlphaRooms had some freak rate of £75 for the same deal appear on their site for about 24 hours so I booked with EasyJet Hotels and submitted a claim. They emailed back within 48 hours to confirm that my entire stay would be refunded within 30 days of me completing it.

The price difference was £91, so double would be £182 but, as has been mentioned, the maximum refund is what you paid in the first place.

    Thanks again budgetflyer!

hotelscomparison.com is good to get an overview of hotels that are overpriced by Hotelopia (the name behind easyjethotels)

booked to go to iceland for 3 nights in jan, got the car hire for 45 quid from avis, half price hotel rooms from easyjet and 10% back on the old airport parking, now all i need is £40 for a burger and fries.
