I received another yodel delivery yesterday. Very courteous man, the one that usually comes here. Undamaged parcel and arrived a day early. I think yodel is great

Me too! After my complaint, I, too, have a tale of success. 10 mins ago, the doorbell rang, friendly Yodel dude at the door, wished me a Merry Xmas, I returned the sentiment and closed the door with my undamaged package full of goodies I had ordered.
    I am happy. As Larry.

I still do not think Yodel is great. I think it has a lot of work to do on its customer service as evidenced by the other complaints here.
  • Apologies for the delay in updating you about my earlier post. My "guaranteed" Saturday delivery from Amazon was delivered on the Sunday by Yodel/HDNL and on the Monday by Royal Mail.

Can I tell you, the poor Yodel/HDNL guy looked absolutely shattered. He said they've been run ragged for the last few weeks, they're getting dogs abuse about late deliveries left, right and centre. I felt heart sorry for the guy.

I phoned Amazon, they refunded the guaranteed postage via credit voucher, no problem there.

And this is what certain people are (deliberately?) failing to realise. They are experiencing an unprecedented increase in volumes, an increase that no predicted. Our deliveries (via TNT, DPD, Yodel and Hermes) have been set back by about two days, on average. Sometimes we get things on time (i.e. what we would normally expect any other time of the year), but we are managing our expectations, based on the time of year.

As a comparison, our Royal Mail and Parcel Force deliveries are about four days behind.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
  • Yodel supply for Very.co.uk with whom i purchased a £100+ product online and paid the extra fees of next day delivery for Christmas Eve. The Yodel driver comes gives my door a very quick knock and runs out of sight before I get downstairs, open the door and run out. I was left with a nice unable to deliver your item card with an 8-digit reference. Absolutely NO COMMON SENSE to know that he should have left it with a neighbour if the item is marked and prepaid for Christmas Eve delivery!!! The Yodel website then does not allow you to fill the online form with with the 8-digit reference as it is NEW and the phone line service hangs up as it doesn't recognise the new number - USELESS!!!! I held the phone to speak to someone and after 8 minutes of ringing it went silent and dead, so obviously no one is in on CHristmas Eve. DO NOT USE YODEL - THEY SERIOUSLY ARE DAFT!!!

He might have been allowed to leave it with a neighbour.

  • I've been let down by Yodel over the past few weeks. They haven't delivered something they should have. Turns out my neighbour has been expecting a 'next day' delivery from them for several days now too. Seems we are in a Yodel blackspot.
If they can't cope with the volume at this time of year they should not have contracted to do these tasks (at which they have failed). Simples.

Ordered a few items online, was told they would be delivered on the monday, I didnt know you could track the parcel online until told so checked to see where mine were. It said they had been returned to the depot, they never even tried to deliver the parcel i was in all day waiting not even a note. So i rang the customer desk and they just fobbed me off with the excuse that they couldnt answer my problem and yes it had been returned, what sort of service is this get a grip of your staff if they dont deliver and dont give an excuse then they should be disciplined.

    The subject says it all!

Ordered Ted Baker shirt online on 20-Dec, heard nothing by 25-Nov and checked Yodel website to say delivery attempted on 24-Nov and left a card (lying toe-rags)...

They would not be able to deliver on the 24th Nov, if you did not order the item till the 20th Dec :rotfl:
    Owing on CC £00.00 :j

It's like shooting nerds in a barrel
  • As a warning to all. I placed an order with a pool chemical company for next day delivery. I had someone wait in all day and was then told that ' customer should collect' clearly this is not what I paid the delviery of £5.00 for. The next day my property was sent off with the wrong driver and was not going to be delivered and then the following day it was out for delivery at 9am, but at 7pm on my second phone call to them it once again failed..... They are thieves by all accounts as they have my propoerty that I have paid for and for some unknown reason will not deliver it. If I have a word of advice to anyone when purchasing goods, check the courier and if Yodel move to another supplier as you will be robbed! I must admit that the company I purchased fhe goods from have not been a great help either. The pool chemical company.

Hi, I'm just in the middle of probably the worst experience I've ever had with a service company.
I booked yodel through parcel2go.com to come and collect a parcel of mine last Friday. Now, I had actually used yodel twice before with absolutely no problems, so I figured it would be alright.
I'm just stumped, what should I do? And does anyone know the location of the Borehamwood Yodel Depot? I've tried finding it on google but bizzarely I can't get a location.

    Hello !
If you can help me with this, I would really appreciate.
A parcel (my suitcase) was sent with Yodel on 29 August from Luton to Durham. It has not arrived yet and it is lost. The only 2 comments on yodel's website are "collected - Borehamwood service centre" and "despatched from Borehamwood service centre on 29 August 2013".
Yodel is not talking to me, they send me to Parcel2Go; P2G doesn't talk to me, they send me to the sender. The sender tells me he talked to a guy from Yodel who is trying to find my suitcase.
I am thinking of going at Borehamwood, but I am afraid I am wasting my time and nobody would talk to me (plus the effort and the money, as I live in Durham).
How should I find my suitcase ? And what should I do against Yodel, I want an investigation to be open or something similar.

Does anyone know where is their service centre in Borehamwood ?

    Many thanks :)

P.S. Yodel's addess in Borehamwood is:
    Unit 1 Elstree Distribution Park
    Elstree Way
    Borehamwood
    WD6 1RU
    Telephone: 0844 248 0885
