Yodel delivery services - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I'm waiting for a collection from Yodel, Monday will be day six! They did deliver a parcel to me on Wednesday, but they couldn't possibly pick up the waiting one - "it's not on my list"!
Thats exactly what I had last week - and was told someone would be around later - they never were, but they manager to update their tracking to say at customers 5.45pm cannot collect parcel - funny as I was on the computer to Parcel2Go at the same time in my living room on live chat asking where the flippen delivery driver was... :rotfl:
I think it depends on local drivers - ours around here for Yodel is useless - the tracking does not state what happens, I also had earlier in the week the parcel not delivered, but card left...NOT...but could not rebook as no card etc...Sports Direct do not allow you to put details in, their web help just sends you the tracking number again - parcel finally arrived following day, when I asked about teh supposed failed delivery the day before he just shrugged and said not him, as parcel was stamped with a white sticker and had NOT MY AREA handwritten on it, :mad:
I will not book another delivery through Yodel.0 -

For collections I will use Fedex or City Link - I realise that others may have had problems with these, but the drivers around "my way" seem to quite good from these two..0

I sent out 3 parcels on the 23rd Nov using Collect+ ( Yodel ) two were delivered on the 27th but the third is still in the local Yodel delivery depot.
They claim to have attempted delivery and left cards twice on the 28th and 29th.
The person receiving the parcel lives in a block of flats with 24 hour security and CCTV and claims there were no attempted deliveries or cards left.
I know that problems may arise sometimes but why tell lies to cover the problems ? I'd rather they were honest and just held their hands up to the delays.0 -

I checked the tracking on the 4th and it was still saying at depot so I entered a live chat with them to find out what was going on , this was how it went. does anyone have an email address for managing director or ceo? i wish to cantact them as regards non delivery and loss of an item and a branch manager hanging up the phone on me. or could someone here get this out into tv land. travels all the way from america and gets lost at a depot 30 mins away, unbelievable...0

glad you have yours, they have lost mine completely, they only gave me the local branch managers name and number when i said i think the only way they would do listen is if i went and set fire to their depot :rotfl: which i would never do anyway but it worked i got the depot manager but he eventually hung up on me :mad::mad: customer service,, no such a thing, bunch of lying thieving scumballs.:mad::mad::mad:0 -
Awful awful awful! I had a delivery yesterday, Yodel courier banged on the door and rang the doorbell. I was upstairs but still only took a few secs to answer, by the time I got to the door he'd knocked on my 2 neighbours' doors and disturbed them, one has a new baby and the other is elderly and they'd both come to the door to answer so I then had to apologise to them. He must've literally banged on my door, rang the bell and then straight away banged on the next 2 doors to just see who answered first.
Hideous service. For my next Yodel delivery I'll have to sit by the front door to prevent the whole damn street from being disturbed.0 -
Recent exp with Yodel
Orders 1 & 2:
Sat 1/12 two orders placed with retailer for next working day delivery which I expected to be for Tuesday 4/12. Retailer sent tracking numbers and advised they were being delivered by YODEL!!
On Wed 5 still no deliveries although tracking shows parcel was delivered on the 4th but driver had padd failure so couldn't record delivery??
Thursday 6 Tracking shows consignee can not be reached, incomplete address - returned to depot. Total rubbish as thehave delivered here before using the exact same account details.
Order 3:
Further order placed 2/12 with same retailer for next working day delivery which i again expected to be Tuesday 4/12. Retailer sent tracking number and advised they were being sent by ParcelForce. This was delivered Tuesday Morning.
Orders 4 & 5:
Further orders placed with Retailer on 5/12 for delivery 6/12. Tracking numbers sent and advised deliveries were through Yodel!!
6/12 No deliveries and tracking just shows arrived at depot but may be delayed
Complained to retailer and they have resent orders 1 & 2 by ParcelForce as even they dont trust Yodel....
Based on my recent experience there is no way I would use Yodel out of choice or recommend then to anyone.
I only send about 4 parcels a month but always use ParcelForce as I have never had any probs with them, They may be a bit more expensive but I think you get what you pay for.Thoughts:

I've had many problems with Yodel. What I don't understand is if Yodel are so bad why do retailers keep using them?
Whenever I have a delivery problem I always let the retailer know.
I like DPD - they send you a text with a 1 hour delivery slot which you can reschedule if it is not convenient. They have never let me down.0
