Finally had a bad experience with Yodel.

They were meant to deliver a large parcel from Amazon to me today. As I'm currently working from home, I'm in to accept it. Refreshed the tracking page every hour and it was always 'out for delivery' until at 5.50pm today it changed to 'Delivery attempted, call card left'

No call card, no delivery attempt. Grr, so they've tried to deliver it to a totally random address. Nice.

Called them up and they gave me the mobile number of the driver but he's not answering. Called again and told them to re-deliver tomorrow, and gave exact details of my address and how to find it.

For some reason I can't collect from their depot down the road until Thursday at the earliest, so may as well see if they get it right tomorrow...

..so I'm sitting here waiting for my redelivery. Nothing so far. Just gone on the website and the status hasn't been updated - ie it's "At service centre".

To make matters worse, every time I call I just get disconnected.
  • My husband ordered me a new laptop from Kays on Tuesday.

They could deliver Wednesday but we were out so he asked for delivery Thursday.

While we were out yesterday my husband had an email to say they had tried to deliver Wednesday but had no response. They put a mobile number in the email for the delivery driver and said to ring him to rearrange. They also said they had left a card... there was no card!

It is now Thursday, I've been ringing and ringing this mobile number but keep getting a strange engaged tone so cant get through.
I've tried going onto the Yodel site for a direct number to the company but cannot find 1 anywhere on the 'Contact us' part.

Reading through all the horror stories on here I'm wondering if I'll ever get this flaming laptop!:mad::mad::mad:

Perhaps you ought to take your query to Kays. It is probable it is they who have not informed Yodel of your requirements.

On the other hand ......... it's not always terrible.

I used Interparcel for the Yodel48 service. I booked it late on Tuesday night around 10pm (after an eBay buyer paid for his item). It was picked up yesterday (Wednesday) before 1pm and I've just now seen that online tracking shows it's been delivered today (midday Thursday). So next working day.

Given the volume of "one off" transactions these companies undertake, there's always going to be problems. I think a lot of the "service issues" come down to the intermediary you use. I've found My Parcel Delivery to be the worst in responding to problems when a courier didn't turn up (it was MyHermes), but a good first experience with Interparcel. Also used Parcel2Go and Parcel Monkey in the past without any real problems.

Listen to this as they cant even get a simple small delivery right.

I ordered a fireman sam triple dvd pack days ago for my nephew as his birthday present. The item did not arrive and checked the website from where i ordered it from and to my surprise Yodel claimed they delivered it. Heres the funniest thing and most humiliating for Yodel. They claim they delivered it from Stockton to Newton Aycliffe within 20 minutes. The problem is it takes much more than 20 minutes to get to Newton Aycliffe from Stockton

Google maps reports a minimum of 33 minutes. Here is a copy of the tracking information directly from the K@co website

It was never delivered to me and no one from yodel ever showed up. I have called K@Co and have to wait 2 days to find out where my package is at. Not to mention i ordered something else from K@co to which i am worried sick Yodel will even mess that up.

They have been on BBC watchdog just google BBC Watchdog Yodel Delivery for the page

Someone or a group of people needs to get a kickstarter page setup to fund a lawsuit against Yodel, maybe then yodel might do there jobs properly.

    Thankyou for reading

Seriously. over a DVD? That's overreacting a bit, don't you think

I have to say, I was expecting a delivery from Yodel on thursday this week, on tuesday I had a phonecall from the Yodel driver saying he had a delivery (no one in the house) so I asked him if he would drop it at my neighbours, he did that, and sent me a text to confim he had dropped it there.

That guy deserves a promotion IMHO, and yes I was shocked too :T:T
