What made you think there were only one inch letters and it was behind a bush. Also, if I want my parcels delivered why would I hide the sign.
You seem to be making incorrect assumptions
And yet you don't put the number of the house up for everyone to see. Surely that would be better. Numbers go in sequence, names don't. Why don't you address your deliveries with the street number, that would make it easier for everyone. The courier would be able to find your house and you would get your deliveries sooner. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

They said its the only property in the post code, there is no sequence to follow. I imagine the courier would be able to find the rough location of the house from the post code and then know to deliver it to the only house as opposed to the fields or whatever else is around.0 -

How is the courier supposed to know that that is the only house in that postcode? He is not telepathic. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I ordered an item last Monday, which was dispatched on Tuesday and out for delivery on Wednesday. I was unexpectedly asked to work Wed-Fri last week, when they had originally been down as holiday, so I had been expecting to be home to collect the parcel. When it returned to the depot on Wednesday because nobody was home, I contacted the Twitter team to ask if I could have it delivered to a different address, which most courier companies allow you to do.
The answer was no, as the contract is between Yodel and the seller, so the seller would have to change the address. I said fine, thank you for your answer, I'll contact the seller. Seller's response was: "Sorry but we are unable to amend the delivery address on any order. Would you like me to request a return for a refund?"
No! I still want the item! So I told the seller it was fine, I'd reschedule.
They tried to deliver again on Thursday as I hadn't actively rescheduled (waiting for answer from seller) and after that I used the website to tell them I would collect from the depot on Friday as it's on my way to work and they open at 8am.
I got a confirmation email for this so assumed all would be OK. When I arrived at the depot on Friday morning (at 8.01, having been sitting in the car park until they were open) I was kept waiting outside until 8.07 and then finally let in, and kept waiting until after 8.15 before anybody came to speak to me. The lady who served me then told me that it might have gone back on the van before she'd even looked on the system, as apparently there has been an issue with the notifications they've been getting from the website (?). Then when she'd confirmed it had gone on the van she said she'd try and see if she could catch the driver - when she came back in she told me she'd missed him by 5-10 minutes.
All I can think is that if they had actually let me in and served me at 8 when I arrived, he wouldn't have left yet and I would have had my parcel!!
She did promise me that it would be delivered on Saturday even though that was a 4th attempt at delivery. As soon as I noticed the tracking said it hadn't gone on the van on Saturday morning, I used the website to request delivery this morning. I did wonder if there would be anybody around to receive that instruction and make sure it went on the van this morning but obviously as the website let me do it I assumed all would be OK!
I contacted the Twitter team again this morning and got a response that all the drivers had left for the day but she'd rescheduled it for me to have it delivered tomorrow. I had to reply quickly that wasn't what I wanted, as I'm back at work tomorrow and once again there'll be nobody home!!
Now she's going to confirm all of this personally with the depot so that I can collect tomorrow morning. I'll be fuming if I get there and it's gone back on the van, but having Dee on Twitter looking into it for me has worked much better so far (should have let her organise the collection on Friday morning personally!) than trusting the website, so fingers are crossed I'll finally get it!0 -
i sat in all day for a delivery from them no so whatsover yet when I looked at the tracking they claimed they tried at 8pn amd left card, odd that as I was at the door at that time takind delivery of the dinner I was supposed be going out for and no card was left either. That was friday have had to wait till today as their offices closed so had time to stew not good idea so ! furious to have wasted whole day then have someone lie about doing something
Update spoke to call centre they say miss scanned did not go out as due today and with local del guy not at depot !!!!!! got complaints address as cannot see point of tracking system as lies to you.
Called local depot to be told actually have 48 hrs to deliver did not bother going into details but got contact number for local del guy and sorted del for suitable time so we will see, in mean time formal complaint going in as tracking system and staff awful.
Delivery again no show no call nothing so I called courier said he had car probs and 4 left including mine - asked if that ment will be done tonight - said no - so afternoon waste of time waiting .
I went by what their tracking system said on friday only to be told info on it wrong not sure how I am supposed to know it is wrong. have asked for refund of delivery costs as they have if they are to be beleived failed to deliver within 48 hrs of reciept and will be invoicing for cost of calls from mobile as no land to chase up on their flawed systems etcI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -
So, when was the delivery supposed to have been originally expected, when you ordered the item? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
