Their help line was closed when I rang so shall try tomorrow..any tips as to what excuses to expect so I can be ready for the cheating swines
From my experience when you finally get through they will listen to your tail of woe then transfer you ( LINE GOES DEAD)
Phone back and when you finally get to speak to someone and give them your story they will say their computers are down and could you phone back !!
I would not go near E2save again if they offered £1m cashback, free calls & texts and 26 Nokia N95s.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -

Well I may have to eat my words...
Rang e2save yesterday, spoke to 'David' who was very nice and asked for the details of the cheque back leaflet I had been going from, so as I describe it he says oh you have the wrong one I will just look into it for you, puts me on hold comes back and says I should have sent the 4th bill but as I had the leaflet off their website stating send the 6th it is not my fault and they will send me my cheque
He tried to explain what the problem was but I didn't understand it something about they have changed which bill you send but according to their website today I am still to send the 6th not the 4th so still sounds a bit dodgy to me or they are completely incompetant. Anyway as long as he honours that and sends the cheque I am happy...phew :T- Make 2023 in 2023 # £00/2023

I think this is quite recent. Or maybe not? When I got my contract the system was screwed up. The online system was one month behind - I ordered my phone in July - BUT they had no stock so actually got it in August.
But the online system said send bills according to August but in FACT I had to send it ACCORDING TO JULY!
So when I didn't get my money told them - wrote a formal letter of complaint and got my money.
But this is OK with me cos I get my money in months 3, 7 and 11. A month earlier!
I think this is JUST E2SAVE. their system really is screwed. I got all my cashbacks from ONESTOP no problem.0 -
Me and my dad both ordered a phone from E2save at same time...sent in our 12th month bill at same time.. in feb 2007....in separate envelopes...same post office...
I got my cheque at beg of April 2007, dad still waiting for his cheque even after endless phone calls..........
Phone bill is gonna be more than the cheque............0 -
Below is a copy of the email I've just sent to the CEO of CPW via their website. I'll let you know what response I get.
____________________________________________________________
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction at the conduct of e2save's 'Cashback' scheme and to request your intervention to ensure that I receive the cashback to which I am entitled.
I recently received a letter from the e2save 'Cashback Team' declining my claim for cashback despite the fact that my claim was valid. On the same day, my wife received a cashback cheque without difficulty. She took out her contract at the same time as myself and made her claim using a bill received on the the same day as my own and posted with a claim letter by recorded delivery at the same time as my own claim.
My own claim was complicated SLIGHTLY by an error on my bill which indicated that it was the 5th bill, although it was in fact the 4th bill. However, I included with my claim a VERY CLEAR LETTER INDICATING THIS ERROR AND PROVIDING COPIES OF TWO BILLS WHICH PROVIDED EVIDENCE OF THE ERROR. A copy of the letter is pasted below for your information:

Dear Sir or Madam,
Chequeback claim – Tel number 07801 xxxxxx / Account xxxxxxx
I am writing to claim the first of my three line rental refund cheques in relation to the above mobile contract.
Please find enclosed, as requested, copies of the first two pages of my 4th monthly airtime bill.
Please note that there is a printing error on this bill. This is the 4th bill under my current contract, not the fifth as stated on the bill itself. I have enclosed a copy of the first airtime bill on this contract, dated 28th April 2007, which confirms this.
April 1st Bill
May 2nd Bill
June 3rd Bill
July 4th Bill
PLEASE ENSURE THAT THIS ERROR IS CORRECTED ON FUTURE BILLS TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO CONFUSION WHEN DEALING WITH FUTURE CHEQUEBACK CLAIMS.
The cheque should be for the amount of £110.00 and made payable to Mr P A Chester.
Many thanks for your attention in this matter.
Yours Sincerely,
Paul Chester
My claim was clearly made according to the terms and conditions outlined at the time I took out my contract.
I am extremely dissappointed at e2save’s failure to respond appropriately to my claim and consider this to be a breach of contract.
This is, in fact, the third occasion on which I have experienced difficulties claiming cashback from e2save and I am aware of similar problems experienced by many other custormers (see, for example, the lengthy discussion thread on Martin Lewis’s MoneySavingExpert.com website at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=324544)
It would appear that e2save is pursuing a policy of deliberate maladministration in order to reduce the value of ‘cashback’ successfully reclaimed.
I am not willing to accept this practice and I ask for a prompt and full response to my concerns.
Should I fail to receive a satisfactory response within 7 days (including payment of £110.00, an apology and assurances regarding the full payment of all future claims) I will take legal action against your company for breach of contract. My claim will include costs including the time taken to compose this correspondence and any other necessary letters and legal forms).
Please be advised that I am sending copies of this correspondence to interested parties including ofcom, trading standards, Which and the BBC’s ‘Watchdog’ team.
I look forward to your prompt response.
Yours Faithfully,
Paul Chester0 -
I suspect you don't understand how their cashback system works - it needs to be clarified at the time of purchase. Most of what they SAY is misleading and always has been - although now they've reached a new low. Anyhow, the cheques are not monthly cheques and the number ON the bill is irrelevant. It sounds like the amount wouldn't be £110 either (impossible to be sure but not a likely figure from my experience with them, which is now substantial). With things like that the detail is important and without knowing that it's impossible to be sure. Hopefully they will explain, but I doubt it'll be in the way you expect. There are many threads on here about WHICH bills to send in - but ALL of those are now out of date in that the whole thing has changed drastically recently.
Basically, ANYONE taking out a deal with cpw companies now (more than then) needs to be VERY careful and not take the t&c at face value or they are likely to have difficulties later.
Pachester - I am all for pursuing your claim via the court if needbe, BUT before you do be VERY sure of your ground and the way YOUR t&c are SUPPOSED to work, so that you are claiming the RIGHT amount and understand your justifiable arguments fully. For the reasons above I suspect you may not and that might harm your case.0
