  • I received a letter from the Appeals Team dated 23rd January:
"Thank you for your letter and I apologise for the contradictory information. However I can confirm that as you purchased your handset in the month of November, and this counts as your 1st billable month, the correct bills to submit are your April, June, August, October. Please send these bills to the DUNSTABLE address within 30 days from the date on each bill."

    I'm on a 6th, 8th, 10th & 12th cashback deal [see my previous post 21-01-2007, 10:27 PM].

    Hope this helps.
  • As expected I still have had no reply to my email sent to Charles Dunstone on 20 Jan, copied to CPW legal, Whatchdog, which and local trading standards. So sent another one on 27 Jan enclosing the original letter of 20 Jan again.

I will send this every week till I get a reply.

  • Well I don't know whether it was the letter to CW or E2S or the posts sent on the CW website to Charles Dunstone but I received one of the cheques for a previously unsuccessful cashback claim. No accompanying letter which is a bit strange, buy hey - goes to show it's definitely worth continuing to hassle them for money owed to you.

I had sent an email to the CEO and I also sent the following letter with my cashback.

    Order No: xxxxxx
    Customer No: xxxxxxx

    Dear E2Save customer services,

I have just emailed your CEO.

E2Save are deliberately giving out false information on your web page.

When I received my phone I was told that my first Cash back invoices to be sent back were in January 2006. The invoices, as per the leaflet received with the phone, were to be sent to Wednesbury address.

Then on the internet the information is given that the first bill was to be sent is February 2007.
I have downloaded and printed out the details of the web pages.
I will take this up with the telephone Ombudsman for this deliberate false information which is clearly aimed for renege to the cash back deals

Because of the confusion (or dare I say misinformation) I phoned E2Save at various times. Finally xxxx at Loughborough and xxxx at Belfast told me that the information on “My Account” on your site is WRONG.
As per instructions received by xxxx that the cash back invoices up to Jan 2007 are to be sent to Dunstable.
I am therefore sending you the following 1st 2 pages of Orange bills.

    Please acknowledge the receipt.

Bill no Date Cash back Bill No
    00xxxxxxx Oct 2006 1
    00xxxxxxx Nov 2006 2
    00xxxxxxx Dec 2006 3
    00xxxxxxx Jan 2007 4

Enclosed: Cheque back Voucher 1 + 4 (2 Top pages) Orange Bills up to Jan 2007

    cc: Carphone Warehouse Head Office
    cc: Oftel
    cc: Ofcom

Within 24 hours I received a text: "This is to confirm that your application for a cheque back has been received. Please allow 30 days for a response."
Then 48 hours later I received this text: "We are delighted to inform you that your cheque back application for this phone number has been successful. Please allow 30 days for receipt of your cheque.

So I urge you to keep trying and you will get a reult.

Following my earlier post where it turned out that the 1st paper bill I received was actually bills number 1 & 2, so my 4th bill (the one I should have sent to them) was actually the 3rd paper bill I received, I have today had a text message saying my claim has been succesful.

I just sent a letter explaining what had happened with the 3rd and 4th bills I received, and it seems to have done the trick.

    Hi all

Just to let you know, after sending a very long winded letter complaining of the contradictions between the leaflet and the website and threatening them with legal action, they sent me my cheque, no questions asked. I also sent a copy of the letter to Charles Dunstone CEO of Carphonewarehouse, not sure if this helped.

Note: I sent my claims to the Dunstable address, which get there fine.
I sent my complaint letter to the Belton Road address and it seems to work.

    Good Luck to all.

I have been trying to get some sort of reply from them since July last year. 6 money claim on line claims paid and 2 others paid when I called them following sending them the 7th and 8th "Letter Before Action" letters - but still no apology or explanation!???

  • There was an article on BBC News 24 last saturday regarding cashbacks. They mentioned people had had problems with E2Save. When the BBC contacted the Company they said that the average cashback waiting time was 2 weeks!!!!!!

Has anyone on here had theirs in 2 weeks???

Wow at last. After waiting 6 months +, repeated phoning and after reading this thread I took a different line of action. Wrote a strong letter of complaint and filled out a small claims court form. I then posted this to the complaints Dept. I also emailed it to cdunstone@cpw.co.uk saying they had 10 days to resolve the issue. Today 8 days later I get a call from some chap saying 'Very sorry, we are looking into it, first if you give me a debit/credit card number I will issue the amount to your card along with £30 for your troubles"!!!:rotfl:
