I handed my Natwest letters into my local branch as the advisor on the main number i called to get their address, advised me that there isnt a main address and to drop it into which ever branch i was closest to. I wasn't too keen on this, so when i handed it in, i asked them to stamp it for me and give me a copy back to prove i had handed it in.

Well thought i'd update you all on my senario.

I complained online to IC on 16th March. 14 days later had vague response saying they are looking into it with a million others. Then had my statements today!

They must provide you with 6 years statements under the Data Protection Act. Write them and tell them you will report the breach to the Information Commissioner if they do not provide them within the 40 day timescale.
    Good Luck
Stick to YOUR timescale. Dont take ANY bull. DONT be intimidated. The law is on OUR side.
:o Feel free to thank me if I was a help :o

My account has been open for 16 years and I got mine. Smells a bit like b/s to me. I would report them to the information commissioner for a breach of the Data Protection Act and write to inform the bank you have done so and you expect your statements within 7 days. Worth a try. Good Luck!

Always check if you can download statements with online banking and/or camp outside your local bank :)

Try this letter and/or phone your bank as well.

    Hi

I have wrote to barclaycard and they have not sent me the details and it has been over 40 days. I have phoned them and everyone i have spoken to seem confused and they dont have phone details of the data protection team and no one seems able to do anything. So i told them that i will be complaining to the ic. Should i write to the data protection team and tell them or just complain to ic and wait for a reponse.

    Cheers for the help

I've had the same problems with Barclaycard - I've now reported them to the IC so just waiting to hear back :)
