Didn't pass, but I was on the right lines and just panicked and screwed it up  rebooked for end of the month, know what I need to do now, and that is "Have faith in myself!" I know it I just need to be confident.
Got my performance management review tomorrow at work, I am working well above a level expected of me and am a well valued member of staff, so I am going to try for a payrise, can't do any harm in asking.
Just getting all my info together so I am going in armed with the facts!!!

Sorry this is my first post and I've been following your thread for a while, although no one can't say you haven't come a long way as clearly you have the only thing that is worrying me and this is purely because we have an issue at work with people who have been off sick. You‘ve only just returned to work fulltime since May/June surely people have been covering your work load whilst you’ve been off for this amount of time and you are thinking about asking for a payrise. I think personally you should wait a while and get back into things fully and thank colleagues who have been helping and supporting you. I’ve also been covering for a member of staff that has been off for about same amount of time you’ve been off and come back phased return if they did the same thing I’d feel very frustrated to say the least. This is just my view and it might just be me feeling like this as I’ve been covering like I mentioned above.
Anyway well done for your progress so far, how are you and your husband? have you still been managing to sort some time to speak to each other now the new term is underway?0 -
Hi TooSad
Just a quick message to say I hope the performance review goes well today!!
From what you have posted it is clear that you have approached all that life has thrown at you over the last few months in a very mature and positive way, never resorting to blame or self pity. You have faced things head on and always looked to find solutions - even in difficult situations - rather than trying to find someone or something else to pin your grievances/insecurities onto which a weaker person may have felt the need to resort to.
So well done you for rising above this and showing such strength of character!
You have totally the right attitude to go forward in your private and professional life and I'm sure you will succeed and continue to be a valuable member of the team at work.
All the best,

Hi
Yes we have managed to find time to spend together and it almost means more as we have lots of other things going on in terms of work and life.
I do appreciate what you are saying regarding a payrise, but in terms of time off I was actually only off work for 6 weeks in total and then returned on a phased return which increased week on week. I totally appreciate what my colleagues have done for me whilst I was off, and I have indeed done this in return. There is however the other 33 weeks of the academic year to take into account and in those weeks I worked my butt off. This included leading a department getting an HMI inspection and getting an Outstanding - from a school that was in Special Measures 6 years ago i think you will appreciate just how far we have come.
The review went exceptionally well in the end, and my boss said disregarding the time off I had had, I was indeed working at a level that far exceeded what was expected of me, and that he was very very happy with what I was/am doing, so all in all a good day :j
