I've had a wonderful day at the christening, it's great spending nice times with my friends.
Have come home and OH came round to put some washing on, he had a quick cuppa and then went to go. He then turned back and asked me to go out with him next week :j I know it sounds pathetic but everytime we have been somewhere or done something it's been at my asking or me dropping hints for him to then ask. This has come completely out of the blue and has made my heart go all fuzzy.
I know it's only an evening out but now I feel that he is making more of an effort too albeit tentative. He has asked me for dinner tomorrow too :) I suppose that depends on how I feel after the spa I might just be spent and want to chill out on my own.

  • That's great news!! :j OH asking you on a 'date' is another positive step. And... the fact that he was able to ask you (by which I mean he had the confidence to do the asking and that you would say yes) is a big step for him as well if his head has been all over the place. No wonder your heart went fuzzy bless you :) And never think you sound pathetic - you have moved on soooo far from this.
Have a great spa day with the girls and see how you feel later re dinner.

Have had a great day at the spa, all relaxed and feeling nice. I had a massage and there was hardly and stress/tension in my back and shoulders, last time I had one in February she had to stop massaging my back as it was that tight she was worried she would hurt me!! Im taking that as another positive!!
Im laid reading a book now preparing for my first day at radio school. I am so nervous about it but its part of something I commited to a long time ago but had no get up and go to do it.
OH is feeling ill today, said he feels really tired almost exhausted and that he cant sleep. I just want to give him a hug and play with his hair til he drops off like I used to :(

Will report back tomorrow on radio school, might do it all in the phonetic alphabet - that would be a test!

OMG - Radio School was ace. It was hard going but everything kind of fell into place - I did 3 hours and although at times it was hurting my head, I am raring to go again on Thursday. Doing the exam on Friday I hope, told OH I was going to beat his mark - he reckons he only got 1 question wrong, yeah right......lol :)
Then I have to do the practical element - really nervous about that, but again I think I will be ok.
I know that I wouldn't have had the mental capacity to do this a few months back - but now I am loving the challenge.

    Right back to studying.

OH came for tea again he tested me on some of the radio school stuff - I know my stuff :D yay go me!

Kicked him out though 'cos I had a date with a swimming pool - took my best mate with me, she is a larger lady with oodles of confidence but is paranoid about what people say about her. Talked to her at spa about how much I loved swimming and the pool I go to is fab. She asked if she could come, I said yes, she did 30 lengths - amazing for someone who has a big mountain to climb in terms of weight loss, and for someone who hasnt exercised for about 10 years. I did 50.
But I felt so proud of the fact some of my positivity is clearly having an impact on her, I talked about how much swimming helped me clear my head when I was at my worst, and I had to force myself to go sometimes, but I am glad I did, because it helps me to relax and has gone a long way towards shaping my new body :) but more so my new positive mental attitude.

What I guess I am getting at is that I am proud of ME for MY attitude having an effect on my friend. It has made me feel all fuzzy again :)

    Off to bed now 50 lengths = 1250metres = 0.77 of a mile

Got myself a new target to go for - Aspire Channel Swim 2011 - swim 22 miles in 12 weeks in your pool - I reckon I am up for that (!!!)

Swimming again today - only 32 lengths this time but thats another 800m = 0.5mile. So in total in the last 1 1/2 days I have swam 1.27 miles. Im going again tomorrow so I will try to do 50 then thats 2 miles over 3 days - a real result and achievement :D

Anyone know of any Apps that are any good for keeping track of exercise done?

Im currently having a break from the Radio (RT) Stuff. I've got two more 1:1 tuition sessions so know that there is a lot more to be covered but up to now I think I am doing ok, despite me having some wobbles. I just so so want to do this and do well with it.

This weekend OH & I are going out for the day on Saturday, it involves travelling a fair distance so maybe that will be the perfect opportunity to have a discussion about what now.....................hmm will mull that one over.

Well back to the books. I am so engaged again in learning that I am actually looking forward to picking up my MA again in September, I withdrew from the final year when I was signed off sick. I wouldn't have had the capacity to have completed my dissertation and done it well when I was ill.

I feel like my Jigsaw is about 90% complete now!
