GracieP you said it perfectly.
Our morals may be the same but the difference between our situations is that I would never snoop, open page or not, I wouldnt of muttered a word about something that hasnt even happened and lastly, I would NEVER (pushed or not) brought up the subject infront of children.
I can be bit of a bloke myself sometimes(I have more male friends than female) and I know that banter between men is never more that banter and men fighting for the alpha male role! You really should take it with a pinch of salt!£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -

I think sex shops, strip clubs and the like should not be allowed to open on high streets and advertise what they do.
I also think there should be tighter controls on what counts as !!!!!! these days - a lot of films have such high levels of explicit sex that I would not be happy with my children watching them, and I'm not happy myself!
THat's just off the top of my head. I know you don;t agree, but then you work in the industry which I would happily see shut down so we aren;t going to agree are we?
I don't work in the industry per se, but I do have a professional and personal involvement - it's a long story! I just wish that people were better informed on the subject.
If your children can see the !!!!!! mags, then they are on too low a shelf and the retailer should be reported. I assume that you mean younger children?
I don't see why you have a problem with sex shops being on the high street. If you have moral objections, should tobacconists and bookmakers be banned also?
Pornographic films are regulated in the same way as all other films. If they are for sale in a high street sex shop, they are at most an 18 rating, and hence no worse than any mainstream 18.Gone ... or have I?0 -
If he knows how insecure you are, its very strange that he didn't log out of his account. Either it was only banter, or he wanted you to find it. If he had any intention of being unfaithful, he wouldn't have posted about it on facebook.
I don't know your history although I have a feeling I might have posted on one of your threads before.
Personally I think its unhealthy that people have passwords for partner's emails and other accounts. Why would you? Isn't any privacy allowed?
To be honest, I would not like my OH to visit a strip joint but I wouldn't put my foot down. I dont think this is the main issue though is it?weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -
I'm going to disagree with you too, Torry Quine! People should do what makes them happy provided it's safe, there's mutual honesty and everyone's enthusiastic consent is ensured.0

Why don't you exercise some self control and not watch the films that you find objectionable? There are sufficient guidelines to allow you to filter them out.
As for the rest - the last time I checked all !!!!!! magazines are placed on the top shelf, behind either barriers or plastic covers which hide everything but the masthead.
Fair point, and I actually think that the guidelines and warnings about content err on the side of caution quite a bit now.
For instance, last night my partner and I were watching the latest episode of Boardwalk Empire on Sky Atlantic. Prior to the broadcast the voice over guy warned about "strong sexual scenes" in the programme and while Boardwalk Empire has at times during its run so far shown some strong sexual content, last night's episode contained little more than a mock up of a grainy, sketchy, black and white !!!!!! film where things could be barely made out.0 -

So called lad's mags are usually displayed below the top shelf and are not in covers and can be very explicit. You may not feel these are pornographic but they are objectifying women so come into this category. I have even seen photography magazines with pornographic covers! :eek:Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I don;t tend to watch films, and I certainly do filter them out when I do, but I do see trailers on televisions sometimes. And in fact the guidelines may say Parental Guidance and then be something I don;t think adults should see! The guidelines have been made a nonsense of.
You haven;t checked the shops round here then - our Post Office has sex mags on full view on the top shelf, so does the newsagent down the road, not sure about other shops as it's not something I go looking for, but in those two shops you can definitely see half-naked women with stars over nipples and suchlike, and wording on the covers which leaves little to the imagination. THere are no barriers to hide anything on the shelves.
Not to mention newspapers like the Daily sport and Star! I consider them to be pornographic and they are definitely not on the top shelf or covered with barriers.
EDIt - I forgot men's mags too, in fact lots of magazines are pornographic these days.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Of course privacy is allowed: I have my husband's log on details and he has mine because there's been many a time when one of us has been online and the other one of us has said something along the lines of "just log me onto facebook before you come off and see if I've got any messages/new emails before you shut the computer down"0 -
None of us can control our partners even though at times we might like to. It is human nature to be attracted to other people. I notice attractive men and my OH notices attractive women, as we all do. You can be on a diet but look at the menu
.
I understand the insecurities, I think that that is all human nature too. We all compare ourselves to someone that we might think is more attractive in whatever way. The key is to have trust and security in your relationship.
I value honesty above control though. I value more the fact that he loves me and cares about me and can be honest with me. I don't set unrealistic expectations.0
