Then you best ban bin bags from being displayed because they'll be seeing the same thing.skintchick wrote: »Yes I think bookmakers should be banned, and I think smoking should be, which would solve the issue of tobacconists.
So it's a case of 'I don't like it' so no one else should be able to?skintchick wrote: »And your point about films rated 18 only shows you don;t get my point that many films allow high levels of sex these days. I probably wouldn;t watch an 18 rated film because of how much explicit sex is allowed these days. I think the classifications allow too much these days.
How much explicit sex is that? I suspect your idea of explicit sex is only yours. And considering a film can be given an 18 certificate for including a homosexual relationship and kiss and yet something like Saw can be classed below that, it's slightly ridiculous to suggest that the classifications allow too much. Do you think a homosexual couple is harmful and deserving of an 18 certificate?0 -
But some of us believe that as adults, we shouldn't be subject to censorship.
If I watch a film, I generally look the film up on sites like Allmovie or IMDb to get an idea of the content. If I feel that it would be unsuitable for me then I elect not to watch it. If I do start watching a film and find the content to be not to my taste I just stop watching and get on with something else. I don't feel it is my place to tell other people what they should and should not be allowed to watch, nor do I believe it is my place to be setting boundaries on what should be permitted in works of fiction.
Absolutely, there are plenty of times I have clicked on gay !!!!!!, watersports ... and indeed mainstream films that just don't appeal to me. Do I go all moral? Nope, I just click on another page or turn over!Gone ... or have I?0 -
They aren't pornography, which is probably the reason why. Have you ever seen Cosmopolitan? Or Playgirl? Or Attitude? Or even old issues of Smash Hits!? All could be considered !!!!!! if your definition includes showing any amount of skin that isn't hands or face. GQ Style had a naked male model on its cover for crying out loud - was that !!!!!!? Of course not. Its readership consists of mainly ABC1 heterosexual males so how could it be !!!!!!?
No I don't read these magazines for obvious reasons! I didn't say only hands and face. If GQ had a naked male then that was pornographic and if aimed at heterosexual men one wonders why it was there? Children need protecting from these inappropriate images.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Been thinking on some of the opinions given seriously but I just cant understand how anyone can feel ok at the thought of the person they love ogling a naked woman - yes probably with a better body than me! - who is draping themselves all over them. It makes me feel sick to my stomach. The fact that I don't want my husband to pay a woman to take her clothes of and turn him on doesn't make me jealous or controlling.
i think you're right that he shouldn't be ogling naked women at all and it doesn't make you controlling in any way.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

How can the human form in a non sexual context be inappropriate? I love seeing other womens bodies, doesn't mean I am gay!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Hi,
RoxieW, why not find out where this do is at and turn up secretly, have a word with the stripper, and ask if you can join in the routine, just for a couple of minutes.
See his reaction then. :rotfl:0 -
None of us can control our partners even though at times we might like to. It is human nature to be attracted to other people. I notice attractive men and my OH notices attractive women, as we all do. You can be on a diet but look at the menu
.
I understand the insecurities, I think that that is all human nature too. We all compare ourselves to someone that we might think is more attractive in whatever way. The key is to have trust and security in your relationship.
I value honesty above control though. Whilst I might not always like what my partner does, ie watching !!!!!! and not coming to me. I value more the fact that he loves me and cares about me and can be honest with me. I don't set unrealistic expectations.
Woah! Your letting your partner do something you dont like just because he loves you?! He's not being honest; he'd rather watch !!!!!! than be with you! Hmm, wonder how that made you feel...?!!£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -

Each to their own I suppose but that seems very strange to me as a woman why would I want to look at women's bodies. To me a naked body is used to sell more by sexualising the image which is frequently not connected with the subject matter in any way.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

You don't want to? Others do, why do you have a problem with that?Torry_Quine wrote: »I didn't say only hands and face.
I didn't say you did.;)Torry_Quine wrote: »If GQ had a naked male then that was pornographic
No it wasn't. Is the Venus de Milo pornographic? Or the statue of Apollo? What about one of Goya's nudes?Torry_Quine wrote: »and if aimed at heterosexual men one wonders why it was there?
Here is the cover in question - it's quite self explanatory.Torry_Quine wrote: »Children need protecting from these inappropriate images.
Don't be absurd. Children are born naked for crying out loud.0 -

I understand how you feel RoxieW, if you feel like this and he knows and still carries on regardless, that's just cruel. How would he feel if the tables were turned, tell him he is looking after the kids, you get yourself done up and go and pay for a hunk to get naked and drape himself on you, how would he feel about that?:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
