Does the Halifax rewards clarity card still exist?

As my Reward Current Account will soon be downgraded to a standard current account, I am considering closing it (apparently having your salary and 3 SOs does not count as being a main account, anyway, that is another debate).
I've just dug out the original agreement and noticed this (my bold)11.9 If you meet the requirements set out in condition 11.10, then for any statement period in
which you:-
a) make at least £300 of purchases (once any purchases refunded in that period have
been deducted);
b) stay within your credit limit; and
c) make your minimum monthly payment,
you will qualify for a £5 credit to your account in the following month.
11.10 To be eligible for the reward set out in condition 11.9, you must, at the time you enter into
this agreement:-
a) hold a Halifax current account and pay in £1,000 or more each month;
b) use our switching service to move your current account to a Halifax Current Account
and agree to pay in £1,000 or more each month; or
c) open or hold a Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account0 -
Is there another phrase on continuing to qualify (i.e. hold a 'prime' RCA) on a monthly basis? I'm sure I read that when I signed up to mine, but don't have the terms.
If not, then you should be fine for now..... until they forcibly change your card to some kind of 'standard' one! Can't see them being happy to give you £5 with no current a/c at all!0 -

If you don't have any Halifax card then it is very good.
The Halifax Clarity appears as a very useful card to hold. But that is ONLY if you are not already a Halifax customer!
I have had a Halifax Gold card for many years, spend about £2000 per month on their card and pay it off in full each month and don't exceed my credit limit. I also have current account with the Halifax with over £10k balance as well as an ISA . I expected that I would be classed as a valued and trusted customer! Unfortunately that is not so!
If you already hold a Halifax card and want to change to the Clarity card then stand by for a lot of problems!
To change you don't just ask as they have changed their procedures several months ago. You have to cancel your existing card first and then apply for the Clarity.
You then wait 30-60 days to see if they will accept you for the Clarity card.
There is no guarantee that they will accept you. In fact a marker on my account implies that I will not be accepted for the Clarity so I would end up with no card at all.
This is totally out of step with all the other major banks who let you upgrade from one type of card to another.
This includes Lloyds, which together with Halifax is part of the RBS group. Lloyds even allow you to hold two of their cards!0 -
I also have current account with the Halifax with over £10k balance0

RBS Group is massive these days...
RBS, NatWest, Ulster Bank, Lloyds Bank, TSB, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
They've practically taken over the UK banking market :eek:

Just opened one last week - guy said that there is no special Reward card, the reward part is now just written into the T&C for the Clarity card (on website, can see for yourself) and came in the T&C sent. He said just meet conditions in T&C and will get £5 on CC0

Just bumping the thread to confirm that this is still the case in 2015
I just successfully applied in branch. There was a "likely to be accepted" marker against my name, along with the likely (=actual) credit limit. The five pound reward was a little icing on the cake. I was planning to reserve the card for overseas spending but it will be worthwhile putting £300 of UK spending through it each month.Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Phoned and checked today - my new Clarity Card does not have the reward tag attached, and so she added it.
-- So you do have to phone and double check0
