Does the Halifax rewards clarity card still exist?

You then get an additional £5 credited to the credit card for spending £300 per month AND paying in £1000 to the current account (or holding an URCA).
Were you funding the current account with more than £1000 per month at the time you entered into the credit card agreement?
Do you always stay within credit limit and make at least your minimum monthly payment?
If the answer is yes to all the above then I would phone the card services team to find out why''Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by a$$holes.'' :whistle:0 -
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I'm meeting the criteria as far as I am concerned. I will give Halifax a ring as they don't appear to have an email I can email them at.Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
Boots points: £0.28
Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)0 -

I got a Clarity card from Halifax in January of this year and later got a rewards account around March of this year, I pay in over a £1000 a month to the current account and get my £5 but this is not my main account. I have since tried converting my Clarity card into a Clarity rewards card, as i spend more than £300 a month on it.
At first I was told it was possible but had to go to branch, which I did, now 7 weeks on I ring the credit card phone banking to be told I can only have the card if I
A; Pay for there premier account at £12.95 and month or
B; Have my wages paid into the current account so that it becomes my primary account
Is this right? I understood that you only had to spend £300 on the Card and pay in at least £1000 a month on your current account
If someone has this account please help?
Were you able to covert your Clarity card to rewards clarity?
I had my clarity card last year and I just open my reward current account. I was told on the phone that I cannot upgrade my clarity card into a reward clarity.
But when I opened my account at their branch I was told that my clarity card would be upgraded to a reward clarity automatically. The only thing I need to do is paying in £1000 and spending at least £300/month.0 -

Hi,
Does you card no start 5253? If it does then there shouldn't be a problem. Just give them a call and ask for them to send an email to the rewards team to get it sorted. Takes all of 5mins. My next door neighbour had his 5253 card set to receive the reward the month after he opened his reward account without hassle.
As for the 'older' cards starting with any number other than 5253 then I'm unsure of the process for them but it should be the same. Either way if you were told it'd happen at POS and it hasn't then that's good enough reason to raise a complaint to get it sorted.0 -

Hi, thank you very much for the info.
My card number starts with 5286.
I will give them a call and complain then.0 -
My Clarity card begins 5286 and was automatically issued as a Rewards Clarity (in July last year), as I applied for the normal Clarity card online, but because I have a Reward current account, they automatically gave me the Rewards Clarity without me asking for it.Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

the difference between cards that start 5253 and the other numbers is that the 5253 cards were opened after september 2011 either in branch or online and have went onto the lloyds system halifax will be moving to later in the year/start of next. the other card numbers are still serviced and ran on the old halifax system.

The 5253 cards are based on the newer systems and are cards taken out by phone or branch since Sept '11.
Other cards are on a different system and are issued prior to Sept '11 or taken out online.0
